Unsub the Steam mod, download the folder from the dropbox link below and put it in the game's Mods folder. If you want to change the time to 15 seconds then edit the file chatbubbles.config.patch with Notepad (Notepad++ recommended) and change the value 10 to 15.

Would you mind making 2 more verions for this? 10 seconds and 15, im playing with my nephew and he can't read english that well yet. it's helped a lot so far but frackin universe has so much more text to read :P

PLEASE NOTE: The Starbound update 1.0.4 has extended the NPC chat bubbles to 4.5 seconds... that's a whole ONE AND A HALF SECONDS extra!



Use my mod instead and they'll stay on screen for 6 seconds. My mod is patch compatible so it'll stay working regardless what Chucklefist do.
