Hedborough North Heritage Railway

Previously a local freight and goods network, the town of Hedborough has experienced a sharp decline in the industrial sector. In the late '80s, the goods traffic began to cease, leaving most of the lines emanating from Hedborough North unattended and in disrepair. Nowadays, the once-mainline has been reduced to a single-track local service, with only one platform at Hedborough North remaining in mainline use. However, a society (the Hedborough North Heritage Railway) was set up, and they now run the railway as a tourist attraction, with mainline rail connections at Hedborough North, and ample car parking at the new Woodford Green station. Although some of the branches couldn't be salvaged, this main section was fully restored, allowing the HNHR to operate a service with whatever locomotives they see fit.

***Known issues: Some of the new signalling is too close to the track. Also, mind the dodgy trackwork where the runaround is meant to join to the platform line at Hedborough North.***
