This is the material only. It will install to your Workshop folder and will not replace the original material unless you have given the workshop folder a higher priority than your TF folder in the Gameinfo.txt file.

They are texture fixes only, not the model

As for working on the working on the demo, no. The demo uses a completely different basetexture. This is the problem with the community adding the misc to a larger number of classes when the original release of the misc item was only for one class. Good example of this is when they changed the uv layouts of the base weapons when they rolled gun mettal out.

Yeah, I can't control things if they change the material and textures or the models in game.
As I don't own the item, I don't bother to check.
So what you're saying is they did something and it no longer works.

I only provided the the 2 colour VTFs they were broken in SFM. The engine would find the normal in the original folder and meld it onto the character.

If any of the above things have change and are still using the same paths and material names and you have this in a higher priorty folder, then the vmt will find this and apply it as the basetexture over the new model and anything else the game vmt calls. The normal map comes from the game folders.

Doesn't work for me, You've provided us with a suit_blue_color.vtf and a suit_color.vtf, although in the original game files (through tf folder) that we replace their priority there is also a suit_normal.vtf file which you didn't provide a replacement to, may that be causing the problems? the color changing Does work, although the entire suit just has big squares almost like a missing texture

And just subscribing won't do anything either.
This goes to your Workshop\materials\models\workshop\player\items\pyro\xms2013_pyro_arctic_suit
folder.

Unless you give workshop a higher priority than your anywhere you have these tf textures or move the path and files to a mod folder that has a higher priority than those, it won't be seen.

If the "new" demo subzero uses these textures then yes it would work, but I doubt that it does so probably not. These textures were fixed for the original subzero suit that was shipped in the SFM proper package. Most added Community upgrades (like the all class dead of night, the C_wpns and I think the subzeros ) use new materials and textures instead of the old original ones.
