This very small and simple Mod puts experience gain from damage with Bound Weapons into Conjuration instead of the former skill tree.

After a couple play-throughs as a Spell caster I've decided I'm done. It doesn't make sense to me that we are increasing our one-handed, two-handed, or bow capabilities. We as Conjurers cheat the help of daedra into existance. We aren't good with these weapons, we cheat with these weapons. They aren't natural and they don't follow the typical rules. How don't they follow natural rules? Well, for one, I can see through them! Welcome to a build that doesn't require weapons or destruction skills and still keeps you in the action.

Please tell me if you experience issues. This mod is usually compatible with mods that change bound weapons. Though I am researching more on this currently. If you have Mod experience you may be able to change bound weapon mods to function the same way. While usually compatible, mods that add new bound weapons will not gain the benefit unless you change the new mods file personally.

It is compatible with Ordinator Perks :) Plus those mods help Bound Weapons be as awesome as they can be. Please tell me if this mod has conflicts with the Mods you may use. This won't be an exhaustive list, but I want to keep trying mods that are a common combination with this one.

Make sure if you are using other Bound weapon changes that you put Bound Weapons Increase Conjuration at the bottom of the loading list.

Please rate up if you enjoy it.

*Q&A*

Q: Isn't it too powerful changing the associated skill from one-handed, two-handed, archery to conjuration?
A: No. Normal weapons can be enchanted. Normal weapons can also be changed to and from without magicka expenditure. Meaning you can cast all the spells you want without regards to your magicka and then switch to a real weapon. With bound weapons you need magicka left over. However, it does also mean that casters can output a similar level of skill and damage if played well.

Q: How do I make Bound Weapons and spells more complimentary?
A: Typically I've noticed that people actually want to hotkey their bound weapons in their second rotation of spells. This limits your spell casting to one hand after about your third casted spell, but adds a lot by way of altered gameplay. With just a little practice you can get spells in quick rotation for common encounters.

Q: Why wouldn't I want my one-handed, two-handed, archery perks increased?
A: This tends to increase the speed that your character levels at and can give very diminishing returns. Leveling Conjuration quickly becomes more difficult as you reach 50+ in skill and leaves you in a place where fine tuning is possible. Where a one-handed, two-handed, or archery skill is also leveling to about 50+ you have a number of extra levels that you probably aren't getting full value out of (you may not have or want a single perk point in that tree). Meanwhile, a large number of enemies are higher level to match you and you are out gunned (without this mod you may even have to turn the difficulty down whether or not you are playing just as well as when you played as a stereotypical warrior).

Q: What about my one-handed, two-handed, archery perks?
A: If my assumptions are correct that doesn't come from skill association, but from the definition of the weapon. So yes you should still have the benefit of EVERY perk in that tree. It might be kinda fun to level up all of one weapon tree and then level up all of the bound weapon perks in the conjuration tree. Just in case you are level 50+.

Q: How can I make Bound Weapons more fun?
A: Personally I like things like Apocalypse Spells Mod and Ordinator Perks. Apocalypse Spells adds spells that help in combat that aren't your typical run of the mill, and allows you to really customize how you work in combat. After leveling up my conjuration and getting bound bow I've almost completely stopped using destruction. Ordinator Perks makes using a Bound Weapon awesome and can give you even more options for how you character works in combat that steps outside the usual. Things like these can let you play through Skyrim, yet again, and still take something interesting from it.

@masterChef it isn't a dragonborn mod, so no. I haven't been modding lately. If I get time I will add it as a mod. Or you can give it a shot. This mod is not very difficult to make oddly enough. Best of luck if I can't get to it.

I have one very specific question before I download this mod.
Does this affect the Bound Dagger spell from Dragonborn? And if it does, will I still get my damage multipliers from my Sneak tree? (running a assassin/mage)

@Flinch ok i kinda missunderstood the description and a mod that increases the skills of both um isnt a thing its a game mechanic and sorry if you completely didnt understand alot of what i said i was tired ^^ i mean im still tired but for some reason im completely awake at night and sleepy as hell during daytime also i did read the desc and thought it said it increases conjure tree but took the weapon part out heh we all make mistakes more so when we're tired as a bear when we get bothered to much and miss hibernation lol

@NightmareMadness I'm not sure you've read the description. The idea is to keep your level low, avoid cheating, and focus on what your character wants to do. I have specified that I didn't want to increase the weapon skills so that my level stayed low. This helps to keep enemy monsters from leveling too quickly. If you want more information read the description. I don't want to rewrite it here. If you want to make a mod that increases both it wouldn't be too tough. I wish you luck with it.

if it works as a summon and not for both weapon and summon um you're basically making it a summon instead of a bound weapon the point in summoning bound weapons is to increase both conjuration and whatever weapon your working on so onehanded/twohanded/marksman

Flinch if this mod is suppose to work 2 in 1 like one handed and conjur i can see how that would help however how exactly is it so difficult to just add a mod that can give you as many perk points as you want? xD i mean really there's a mod out there that actually gives you whatever number of perk points you want so all you would have to do is work on the skill tree or just cheat the system and do player.advskill conjuration # and so on so forth

@ChickenMan No prob. Please do tell me if you see that it doesn't allow for increase in weapon damage. If it doesn't it should be an easy fix in that mods code, where it increases the associated damage output to the skill of the held weapon. Since this mod also scales your damage output you should have that naturally, but you can just change the associated skill of their mod to conjuration. And I understand the sadness of bound stuff in this game. It was not nearly as cool as Morrowind. It's been a trade up though. My opinion.

Yeah, turns out it was the loading order. Not sure if the damage still scales (sure hope so) but now i get no more one handed exp :) thanks for making this!

I just checked , appereantly i have one mod that scales bound weapon damage to my conjuration skill. I hope taht doesn't cause the issue because vanilla bound weapons tend to outlive their usefulenss rather quickly :/
