A Standard timetabled scenario for the Weardale and Teesdale route

You are driving a Regional Rail Class 150 from Crook to Durham via Bishop Auckland.

Post sectorisation. As if Beeching and cut backs in the coal industry had never happened.

Something I was trying out just for my own amusement but decided to publish hence the good mix of DLC used.

My thinking is that had the lines around Bishops Auckland not been closed, by the time BR sectorised the railways in the 1980's, most branch and secondary lines would probably still have the same signals and infastructure as they had for 100 years (in fact some still do today). With the exception of Darlington and Durham on the ECML, this would've held true through this whole network.

**note - remember to take it easy with acceleration and braking on the damp rails**

I must say I am the opposite, having worked for BR from 1959 - 1966 and at Thornaby MPD when they were being allocated brand new Class 25's , Class 27's D5370-D5378 and Class 37's D6769-D6778 so I tend to favour BR green. Of course all the main line diesels were being delivered in the green 40/45 47 in 2 tone green and my favourite of all time the Deltics in their original livery. Enough of my waffling, take care and I look forward to your scenarios.

Thanks for the kind comment Barrie, glad you enjoyed it. I'm more deisel/electic myself but the BR Green has never really appealed to me.

Great route, brilliant scenario, Thank you very much. I personally prefer diesel/electric to steam and look forward to more scenarios for this route, both passenger and freight.
