This building is meant for cities that already have a large demand for water. It produces as much water as 6 water towers or 3 pumps. It costs as much money as 3.4 water towers, in which case it is a cost savings if your city relies on water towers, but it costs as much as 4.8 water pumps, so it is still more expensive than relying solely on flowing water sources. So, when a city begins requiring over 360,000 m³/week, it is a good idea to replace existing infrastructure with a Perlan if your city relies on water towers.
