Here's Insurgency's original mod background with some nice smoke effects added to it. I've been using it since the official game release and still fits nicely with the new menu layout that was updated a while ago.

I recommend using this other mod for background wallpapers to be viewable in the main menu due to recent changes in the menu layout by NWI: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=626097071

If both menu mods do not work or load properly, I recommend to do a copy/paste of the .vpk mod files into the INS custom folder, you should be able to find the .vpk workshop mod files under: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\222880 & place the .vpk files into the correct custom folder which is as followed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom

Be sure to use the correct custom folder. It should be as followed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom

For those who are having issues for this to work, just go to the Insurgency workshop folder, copy the .vpk file and paste it onto the custom folder instead. :oldschool: :)

Yeah, that M16A mod that you linked should work just fine in-game MP, but last time I played Coop with that mod rifle I was on a custom coop server which a lot of things are changed, so try it yourself if it works on a random coop server, that's all I can tell you to see if it works for you. At the moment I'm using another M16 mod rifle that is on my mod list for Insurgency which I find superior due to the model having proper 3rd world view animations for the reload animation.
