[1.11] Morgenröte Biology Beta

This is a Beta version for the new Biologist that we want to introduce when 1.12 gets released. It is mostly meant for testing that character role and changes we introduced with him.

Note that the medicinal herbs and the Botanical Expedition are not complete yet and do not properly work as of right now.

- New Technology: Cell Culture.
- Cell Culture gives +1 Health Institution Investment (instead of Malaria Prevention).
- Biologists can do Microorganism Research. Doing so rewards players with new microorganisms and clues for the germ theory.
- Biologists can modernize their microscope with an engineer: first from early compound microscope to achromatic microscope, later to electron microscope.
- Biologists can Research Pathogens. You'll need a description of the disease, microbiology, aniline, a modern microscope and micrological knowledge (= certain number of microorganisms) to do that. Pathogen research is only possible with a verified germ theory.
- Biologist can Research Vaccines. You'll need to research the pathogen of the disease first. In some cases, you also need Genetics or Cell Culture. Creating a vaccine costs specimens.
- NOTE: There is no Scarlet Fever vaccine; even today there is no efficient vaccine for this disease. Polio vaccine and Measles vaccine are way beyond the Victorian time frame, so it is mostly impossible to create a vaccine; however, Morgenröte includes both vaccines to research them (in theory). Mods which have a later end date may offer the possibility to research a vaccine against polio or measles.
- American states in the southern US to northern Argentina receive a Cochliomyia modifier at the start of the game, which has a negative effect on the yield of ranches (-20%).
- With the necessary technological equipment—modern aviation, nuclear physics, and cell culture—a biologist can research sterile insect technology. In a second step, they can free territories from the negative Cochliomyia modifier. Historically, this only happened in the 1950s, but it's possible for gameplay reasons.
- European (mostly central European) and North American (mostly east coast) receive a Cydia modifier at the start of the game, which has a negative effect on the output of fruits.
- After inventing Malaria Prevention, a biologist and a chemist can develop a pesticide to get rid of the modifier.
