Mikoyan MiG-29C Air Superiority Fighter

The MiG-29C (Product 9-13) is a modernized variant of the legendary Soviet frontline fighter, distinguished by its dorsal "hump" containing extra fuel and the Gardeniya jamming system. While the Fulcrum served dozens of nations, its history within the Moldovan Air Force is particularly unique.

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the tiny Republic of Moldova inherited the elite 86th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment stationed at Mărculești Air Base. This left Moldova with a massive fleet of over 30 MiG-29s—far more than the young nation could afford to fly. These jets saw limited use during the 1992 Transnistria War, but their fate was sealed by geopolitics.

In 1997, fearing that these advanced nuclear-capable aircraft (specifically the 9-13 "C" variants) might be sold to Iran, the United States intervened. In a historic Cooperative Threat Reduction deal, the U.S. purchased 21 of Moldova's MiG-29s. C-17 Globemasters landed at Mărculești and airlifted the dismantled fighters to Dayton, Ohio for analysis, ending the Fulcrum's brief but intense era of dominance in Moldovan skies.

First of all this plane is build for Low Physics Settings Friendly, meaning that gears are designed not to "fold" and capable to extend on the ground if they were retracted, also low probability of missile jam on high-G launch.

Targeting system consists of two radar controllers, one has the same logic found on Sukhoi Su-57 and the other represents an HMD targeting, while having a better lock on target, because of significant noise in output data, until further updates, it proves itself unreliable.

To make a smoother flight an Auto Trimmer is implemented which triggers in if you don't touch WASD for 1.5 seconds and it automatically finds the right values for elevator to counter unwanted pitch down or up. It is useful especially if you have heavy payload or flying upside down. The pilot has the luxury to control that value only when stabilizers are On.

Specifically for this plane were developed SPO-15 RWR and ILS-31 HUD, a distinct mark of soviet fighter jets now available for everyone to play.
