This mod is a one way trip. I would recommend backing up your universe and character files before installing.

Cosmosburst is an add-on for both Project Ancient Cosmos and Starburst Rework. Giving the two parity in a way that isn't possible without both of the mods working together. With a new exploration based progression for Ancient Cosmos, and complete reworks of how the hazards function. Everything fits together in a nice little package for your enjoyment.

New Progression
The new progression this add-on includes, is a complete rework of progression, allowing you to choose where you wish to go at the beginning, and no longer includes the Outpost! This mod also doubles as a no story patch, so no need to worry about that.

Search around Midnight planets to seek a path forwards, and upgrade your stations to take you further than ever before!

Hazard Reworks
The hazards function differently, like how normal Starburst does. Many of the weathers in Ancient Cosmos, along with some new weather patterns to the mix add Deadly Hazards to any Tier 7 world, making your journey more perilous, but not too bad if you've prepared.

Electrostatic has been replaced with Extreme Static, allowing you to mitigate it with only deadly protection, though having the equipment necessary to utilize the new materials is very much recommended.

Equipment Reworks
Many pieces of equipment have been moved around and rebranded to fit the new open ended nature of Starburst's progression. Each of the armor sets now uses different materials, the old Celesteel Guns are now Enchanium based, and there's a lot more.

General Improvements
Many parts of the Ancient Cosmos experience have been overhauled to fit a reworked format, such as: the Ancient Furnace being a direct upgrade of the Atomic Furnace, Ancient Workbench being more open in progression, and some of the content being less self contained.

Starburst Flavor
Many parts of Ancient Cosmos have been updated to include the different parts of Starburst. Such as the Star Gleaps updating to fit the different star types of Starburst. As well, the materials have been updated to fit the vision of Starburst as well, with the new addition of Cosmium.

...along with multiple other reworks to the mods themselves.

Q: Is this required for Starburst and Ancient Cosmos to function together?
A: No, if you don't like the changes, you can very easily forgo this add-on. Ancient Cosmos is isolated and won't ruin anything.

If you have any questions, bug reports or feedback, please direct them to my own personal discord server or the steam discussions. Mod updates will be posted there.

These two mods have been my flagships for a long while, massive mods I created in hopes the community would enjoy my ideas as much as I do. Now they are together!

So thank you everyone who has supported me over the years, and these two mods. I hope you enjoy this one as well, I know everyone's been looking forward to it! :3

Something I'd like to see is placeable hazard regulators for the reality break and hyperstatic hazards. I just think it'd be neat.

Will this affect other mods? For example, Arcana or Betabound?

There will be a patch for Quarkular Furnace? Also, there is a similar mod in the meantime?

Oh this might be incompatible with Quarkular Furnace since this mod has its own T4 furnace...

since the update, the spawn rates of Dromine (and Cultivation Crystals, which apparently had similarly low rates too) are identical to Diamonds, albeit happening on depth layer 2 (0.10) and depth layer 3 (0.20) instead of Diamonds happening on vanilla planets at depth layer 3 (0.10) and the Core layer (0.20), just in case anyone is curious.
Cgoober2000 6. pro. v 17.16
basically think diamond rarity on the layer above the core layer on normal planets (basically non-existent), and then halve that... that is about how rare Dromine is from what I can tell... although, I could be reading the files wrong and be completely incorrect about how rare it is, I'm no proper modder.

@Humm-Bird not the mod author, but I just checked the spawnrate of Dromine and from what I can tell, it only spawns in the 2nd and 3rd depth layers of Relic planets, the 3rd one being the one right above the core layer, it doesn't spawn in the core layer at all, and where it does spawn, it does so at a rate way lower than Diamonds do on vanilla planets at their absolute rarest, being "0.05" compared to diamonds "0.10" in the third depth layer... so really, it's not really a surprise that you aren't finding much.

What are they supposed to look like? because I've been digging around at the bottom of the world and haven't been able to find a single one.
Pixelflame  [autor] 6. pro. v 11.03
@Humm-Bird They're quite rare, about as rare as diamonds are and only spawn on the lower 2 layers of Relic Planets. Should I increase the probability?

Is dromine supposed to spawn like a normal ore? because I have not been able to find any, even after messing around in admin. The only one I found was in some random chest.
