Frontlines: Combat Realism Overhaul (FCRO)

CAMERA FEATURES

Tactical Camera
• Extended zoom-out distance for better battlefield awareness
• Increased LOD (Level of Detail) — see the action even when zoomed out
• Removed grey atmospheric haze for clearer visibility

INFANTRY WEAPON REBALANCING

All infantry weapons completely overhauled with realistic engagement ranges:

Bolt-Action Rifles: 180m (+50% from vanilla)
Semi-Auto Rifles: 175m (M1 Garand, SVT-40, G43)
Machine Guns: 140-180m (LMGs to HMGs)
Submachine Guns: 100m (close-quarters dominance)
Sniper Rifles: 200m (precision fire)
Anti-Tank Rifles: 160m (effective against light armor)

VISION & DETECTION OVERHAUL

• Spotting reduced by 20% — ambushes and flanking actually work
• Tanks have severely limited vision — they NEED infantry support
• Stealth matters — prone + cover + stealth = nearly invisible
• Silenced weapons produce zero detection signature
• Flanking maneuvers are genuinely effective

INFANTRY MOVEMENT

• Walking and prone crawling speeds increased for smoother gameplay
• Run speeds unchanged to maintain tactical pacing

VEHICLE REBALANCING
(WIP)

• All tank/SPG/AA gun ranges increased by 25%
• Slower, more realistic vehicle speeds
• Reduced starting fuel — WIP
• More realistic armor penetration values
• Vehicles feel weighty and impactful

ENHANCED EXPLOSIVES

• HE shells and grenades are devastating
• Mortar ranges increased 25% (81mm: 200m, 120mm: 290m)
• Rocket artillery buffed (Katyusha: 390m, Nebelwerfer: 375m)
• Mines and satchel charges are deadlier

AI BEHAVIOR

• AI economy completely separated from player economy
• Each nation has custom purchasing preferences based on historical doctrine
• AI maintains proper offensive pressure throughout the match

Yeah the vehicles blowing up on spawn are preventing me from playing the mod

vehicles randomly explode when spawn, but look in perfect condition. but can not shoot or move. everything has been resupplied and regardless of call in stage, the same vehicles will randomly explode. any ideas.

@bossk123 All nations had there vehicle spawning balanced, I'm sure some values can still be tweeked. Currently not at home at the moment (my daughters 7th birthday and we're out town for it) but updating the change log to reflect all the changes is definitely on my list when I get home tomorrow around 10am PST.

Infantry always felt in the base game to be, different.. It's a main focus of this mod to make infantry feel more "realistic" in the sense of there is a lot a dedicated squad can do on the battlefield instead of just being cannon fodder.

I appreciate it! I'm also going to start a PayPal, because not a huge fan of the idea of people subscribing to me (unless that's what they want) but 1 time donations through PayPal seem to be more what appeals to me. Thanks again and glad you enjoy the mod!

Looks like you updated the vehicle spawn priorities, nice, but the patch notes only mention for the british. Was this done for everyone? My last battle I played a few days back, before your update, the germans spawned 30 plus vehicles to attack me and almost no infantry. I love tanks and stuff, but as someone who was in the infantry for a long time I was hoping to have at least some bloody infantry combat lol. Thanks for all you do, Ill be sending some money your way on the patreon sometime this month for sure, you are crushin it
