WCW 2001 - TITANFALL

It’s March 27th, 2001—the day after the last Nitro. WCW has been sold to Vince McMahon, but in a desperate bid to keep Linda from publicly announcing a divorce, he’s handed her the purchase rights. The show closed with Linda revealed as the new owner. Now you inherit a gutted operation: the Time Warner–guaranteed contracts (Sting, Goldberg, Nash, Steiner, Flair, etc.) are sitting out, staff have walked, others were cut, and there’s no TV deal on the table. The locker room is half-empty, the phones are quiet, and the industry expects you to fold. This is the world you walk into—one day removed from WCW’s televised funeral. Do you triage and rebuild around what’s left, or torch the template and launch a lean, hungry WCW 2.0? Who gets released to stop the bleeding, and who gets rocketed to prove there’s still life? Do you unify belts, crown a standard-bearer, and chase a network, or barnstorm on house shows until the numbers force a broadcaster’s hand? The cameras are off, the lights are dim, and the ink is barely dry. Is this the coda to WCW—or the first chapter of Linda McMahon’s resurrection?
