The German Peasants' War

描述
A free interpretation of The German Peasants' War between 1524 - 1525. Fight as the Bawren for self-determination and freedom or join the Herre on their campaign to destroy the uprisings of the oppressed.

This campaign makes no claim to historical accuracy. In total, there are 19 settlements and cities with a total of 7 individual and self-made castles based on real places with similar geographical locations that are associated with the German Peasants' War.
The goal is to capture all settlements with the chosen faction.
For better balance, there are neutral settlements that can be occupied turn by turn.

Both factions have their own options and restrictions regarding buildings, settlement management, and troop selection (please read the troop description in game for helpful explanations).

Factions

Herre

They are a union of various feudal lords who fight the peasant uprisings with all military means. Their troops operate in well-organized units of battle-experienced, cold-blooded fighters and mercenaries.

Georg III. von Waldburg was also known as "Bauernjörg". He received this nickname because of his cruel and merciless treatment of the rebellious peasants. Under no circumstances should the peasantry win the fight against the authorities and Georg was a military leader who pursued this goal with fanatical ruthlessness.

Bawren

They consist of regionally organized groups of peasants, craftsmen and ordinary citizens who lack military experience and unified leadership. Blinded by the Reformation-Movement they rebel against the oppression of the authorities and fight for greater personal freedom.

Thomas Müntzer played an important role in the Peasants' War, attempting to unite the peasant groups to fight for more justice in the social order. Although he was a theologian, he fought side by side with the peasants and ultimately gave his own life for the struggle against the class-based secular order.

Important NOTE:
-When the policy "Lantwere" is selected by the player or the AI, the unit "Boere" automatically appears in the game. There is currently no way to change this.
-Troop descriptions provide helpful explanations.
-Keep track of each settlement's selected policy and character traits of the officers (especially important for The Herre).
-There are 7 individual and self-made castles on the map. If a castle is destroyed after a raid, it cannot be rebuilt. Neither faction is able to build its own castle (especially important for The Herre).
-All castles and their descriptions in steam workshop are entirely fictional.

Balancing suggestions or bug reports are welcome. Thank you for trying out my campaign and thanks to the developer who grants us so much creative freedom.
