Zero (Oblivion)
Zero at his best. took a lot of things from (Omega : by Popkoji), (Zero : by SussyShart) and (SL Zero : by Sai) and made some additions to make Zero feel like what I think he should be. Also Im cooking up something if your willing to wait X).
please go check out there stuff, everyone makes really fun characters X)

Let me just say this here. I don't know how to code 100%, AI has helped me in many ways and ive learnt though other things and though Ai to make this and other character later on.




Zero (Oblivion) Has many tools at his disposal.

UP SPECIAL
Launches Zero high with his Z-saber but can also change into its flame variant if Down is flicked before pressing Up Special. This has a cool-down and cannot be spammed

DOWN SPECIAL
Zero uses his Z-Knuckle to smash into the ground and throw a chunk of Ground/Stone at the enemy in a arc. If used in the air Zero attempts a GRAB, if successful, Zero can throw the enemy in 4 directions. Up/Down/In-front/Behind, each having their own Knock back.

CHARGE ABILITY
Zero can charge his Buster to prepare a Charge shot when holding Neutral Special. This can be done while doing Jabs/Strong attacks/Moving/Dodging. Zero can charge even further to prepare a Charge Slash instead, dealing high damage over a wide range. Both Charge Shot and Charge Slash can cancel Animations of any skill or ability. so go wild with em combos.

FORWARD SPECIAL
Zero uses his Chain Rod to hit the enemy. it also has a sweet spot that can drag the enemy towards him.

FORWARD TILT
Zero slashes forward creating a slash that on contact with the enemy, will shock them in place for a few seconds. this move has a cool-down but can still be used without its projectile.

DOWN TILT
by crouching and pressing Jab, Zero will use his Recoil Rod to jab at the enemy 3 times. This can be used during the 1st and 2nd Jab for longer combo attacks.

UP AIR
Zero spins his Triple Rod in-front, this hits the enemy multiple times with the last hit knocking them down.

DOWN STRONG
Zero can strike the air from the ground using his Triple Rod then spins it to do electric damage multiple times.

DOWN AIR
Whenever Zero strikes down in the air using his Z-saber, He can force his body to strike down to the ground, when he lands he will immediately use down strong.

DOWN STRONG
If threatened by a projectile, Zero can block it with his Shield Boomerang. (as of now, this does not reflect projectiles. I hope to figure this out soon) It will also repel a force that can hit enemies if they are within range,
He can cancel this move by pressing Jab, this can hit enemies quickly and help keep up combos or he can dash backward or Dodge.

you said you learned how to do a lot with AI, but are there any AI generated code or assets in the final product?

@Nugear, I just wanted to say thank you for exporting this character! I've been looking for a version of this guy that accurately represents a balanced Zero that feels completed as well as reminding me of the megaman zero series. I think this character accomplishes these things quite well. I also appreciate your communication with your community and seemingly active work on the character to bring out its best potential. This is a great start and I am looking forward to the end result! Also, I thought the coloring of the character model skins were really well done. I don't really know what work or tools went into that, but either way I am really happy with how they turned out. Again, thank you, and I am looking forward to what is to come!

Also after playing more, I feel Side B needs a cooldown of some kind since it's very spam-able and its free chip damage in combos.

Found a new bug. While it's intended that Zero can do his Charge attacks from Dodging, I found that doing any Charge attack partway through the Dodges causes unintended things. Zero can keep his Air Dodge when he does Charge Buster partway, meaning he can do another one afterward provided you hadn't used it. Doing Charge Saber, on the other hand, carries over the invulnerability from the Dodge into the Charge Saber, meaning you cannot punish it. Dunno if the former can be fixed because of game mechanics (then again I could be wrong), but the latter definitely has to be fixed with the next update.

Quick note i wanna make about his weight, it's currently 0.75, which is honestly extremely heavy. In the base game, the absolute heaviest a character gets is 0.9. A weight of 0.75 can let him survive charged smash attacks at almost 200%. I would recommend making him a lightweight to compensate for his relatively strong frame data and disjoints, like 1.15 or 1.2, which would put him at around the same weight as ori or wrastor. If his frame data gets significantly increased, it might be better to do more of a midweight value of like 1 or 1.05.

@Wimdy id much rather have someone doing the code than have to use Ai. on god. if someone does help out i would easily switch. plus id be able to focus more on sprite work.

the art at the end was a quick thing. i wanted to show something as a teaser, but its hard not to share the details until that character is done. but everything else art wise will be me. I wont use ai again for anything art related.

Okay, so. Coding is at least one thing, but if the art was AI, I would've been a lot more peeved. Its not as bad as it could be, but its still off-putting. If ya do plan to implement proper coding and this is more of a filler for the moment, then hey.

Just uh. Really, my main worry was that the WHOLE thing was AI.
