描述
CORE Survival HEL-STAR 6® Gen III+ Marker Light
Description
This mod adds ACE Self-interactions allowing you to enable a marker light on top of your helmet. The marker light’s modes and functions are based on the HEL-STAR 6 from CORE Survival, though not fully accurate to the real-life version (yet?). The in-game controls are also inspired by the real counterpart, with some creative liberties taken. The marker light is cleanly attached to the helmet and will move with the head when freelooking. The strobe itself should be visible from basicly any distance. The mod is made with multiplayer in-mind and should have good performance. The mod can be used clientside, however any client without the mod, will not see the marker light. Admins also have a debug chat command available (#fixhelstar) to disable all strobes on all clients. The light is directional, so it may not be visible when viewed from below.

Features
- Helstar item and a setting to disable item being required
- 2 IR Modes and 2 VIS light modes with both flashing and constant light
- Flash duration and frequency configuration through settings
- Clientside setting to hide strobe actions during day
- Only available with headgear on and will auto disable when headgear is changed
- Directional light

Planned
- Strobes visible in thermal
- Settings for programming/configuration of strobe functions (maybe, idk yet)
- Active covert IFF System

Known issues
- JIP Players will not see the strobes I think (each strobe has to be reset to be seen), possibly will fix in the near future
- Arma engine has a hard limit on amount of light sources, so with multiple light sources nearby the strobe light might be killed/invisible. If I figure out how to give it some sort of priority, I will fix.

@sam13350 The light should be visible at any range and fade out at the viewdistance limit. However the lightsource might be killed if there is many other lights around, but thats just arma limiting the amount of active lights, cant do much about that for now.

I was originally testing the brightness in very dark conditions, I will push an update soon that fixes the brightness being low when there is more ambient light around.
