I'll try to check what can be done about everything else, but it sounds complicated.
With labor saving production methods I just never use them because I'm not sure what I realisticly gain from them until I run out of peasants entirely. Same with the build screen showing you a nebulous expected profits value but not useful things like if you're producing inputs/outputs connected to it locally. They keep changing things so it's hard to know how it would be improved.
Its always been annoying doing the mini maths to work out if certain taxes are worth it.
