UberPilot

UberPilot is a mod that lets you call in a transport helicopter on demand. This lets you travel quickly while remaining immersed.

Features
  • On-demand transport: Call in a helicopter to your position and select your destination
  • Safe boarding/extraction: Teleport in and out of the helicopter when it's near the Landing Zone - No more relying on John Arma's landing skills
  • Dynamic routing: Change your destination mid-flight
  • Configurable: DLC to use, cooldown, spawn distance, invincibility
  • DLC helicopter support: Vanilla+Apex, Global Mobilization, CSLA, Prairie Fire *
  • Custom helicopter support: Option for player script to select helicopter.

I have this mod suggestion, I was thinking it would be complementary to the UberPilot one. Call it "UberDriver", a Ground Transport equivalent! (A boat one would be interesting, but at that rate it would just be a 3-in-one Transport mod).

Still working on some fixes and some small new features. Busy with issue where heli would lift off, but not move toward destination.

A bit busy atm, will try to update mod next weekend. Fast travel is working, just need to fix some bugs, and do more testing.

Will look into it this weekend. I will probably aim to make it work like it does in the PF missions. Also, released new mod, SpottedMarkers.

I was thinking, what if there was an option to "fast travel" in the scrollwheel menu once you boarded the heli, and it would fade the screen to black with some kind of text, and then teleport the heli aswell as the player and teammates inside to the drop point. Would that be possible?

a) Make sure the mod has updated.
b) Check the "Use Custom Helicopter Script" box.
c) Add < 'B_Heli_Light_01_F' > to "Custom Helicopter Script". Make sure to include the quotations. You can enter any script that returns the string name of a Helicopter. Things like cars or airplanes won't behave correctly.

How does one do the custom heli through classnames? It doesn't seem to be a CBA option :/
