Pope Clutcher

Pope and Clutcher have mysteriously made their way from their original webcomic series Pope Clutcher into the world of Isaac!

The Pope Clutcher mod brings in a new vanilla inspired character Pope and his tainted counterpart! The mod also includes 2 new items to discover in your runs and unique birthright effects for the characters!

Pope deals 1.5x damage to enemies that are inflicted with the bleeding status effect and has the base game item Redemption, allowing him to gain a soul heart and damage up by skipping a devil deal.

Pope's starting item Clutcher is an orbital that deals damage, blocks projectiles, and inflicts bleeding onto enemies. You can also charge up Clutcher to perform a throw attack, sending out waves that inflict bleeding in an AOE.

The Disjointed(Tainted Pope) is a challenge character who works similar to the Lost. Tainted Pope is a ghost that dies in one hit but starts with the base game item Spirit Shackles which allows him to keep fighting for a bit after death, this can be recharged by picking up soul hearts. He also has Redemption like his normal form.

Tainted Pope's starting item Bisected Clutcher is basically a tainted counterpart to Clutcher. Bisected Clutcher is split into two halves, when enemies come near a Clutcher Half it will lunge forward attempting to kill the enemy while dragging you along with them. Clutcher halves deal high damage and can also block projectiles, allowing you to choose between using them as defense or offense. I think he's a tough character, so good luck with him!
