The Path of Blood

Opis
Fight battle after battle, and find your character living longer and longer.

Follow the path of blood and become Immortal.

20 grouped/tiered traits, adding health, lifespan, prowess, and eventually full immortality. Great for vanilla and should work with most TCs.

Take a battle tracker mod (like War Veterans, or one of my mods) and then combine it with a god mod, and you got this! The idea of this mod is to make it so that you will definitely have a lot of longer - lived bad ass characters. There are no real complicated scripts or godlike powers, this is almost purely a low-magic/fantasy upgrade on making your character live longer (which I frankly prefer, as most god mods or mods that add ages go too far overboard for my taste). It was made at the request of several players. I am open to suggestions.

I would not recommend currently, without further testing - running this with either war veterans, god of war, or wargod ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3566095784 ). Progenitor's blood ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3565603124 ) is fine (but not yet connected to this mod).

The first trait requires 10 battles won, the final takes 600. Good luck reaching immortality. It will take you a while. Let me know how it goes!

(WIP graphics for the traits).

The first mod in CK3 history that allows you to battle your way to immortality!

I find it a good balance for aggressive warfare playstyle, so I like it.

I would like to see immortality through duels. D/E by me)

@Renown I like the idea of adding duels because they can be far more deadly/dangerous than being a commander in an army. You're more likely to die in a duel so its risky. As far integration versus separate mod, I think adding a game rule (default turned on or off as you like) makes the most sense to me. I don't have a strong preference on how they compare to battles except not making them too powerful in comparison. Choices B, C, D for me.

Can I ask if the trigger is being a commander or knight in a battle? I'm curious to find out how my knights are gaining traits, and whether I should make certain ones commanders if I want to help them stick around a little longer.

(or would people prefer a version where immortality is decided by duels instead?)

@Everyone - If Duels were included (which would be fairly easy) what would be the preferred implementation?

Rank 1
A) Ten Battles, 1 Duel
B) Ten Battles, 2 Duels
C) Ten Battles, 3 Duels
D) Ten Battles, 5 Duels
E) Ten Battles, Ten Duels

But I am glad you are enjoying it. Feel free to leave more feedback and I'll keep it in mind.

Or some add far far too many components or do too much

Or are simply too easy to get. Where is the challenge? where is the depth? Bingo bango bongo and you are in the congo as a god with 99% of these mods with your first character, often by an event you can choose any time.

What? At that point those mods are basically just cheat mods and I hate cheat mods.

I try to keep to the general vanilla experience because this game can NOT HANDLE OP trait mods everywhere. As it is, I worry about some of the trait bonuses for some of my mods.

@ Jericho, one of the basic components of pretty much all my mods is to prevent OP traits spreading, while allowing for their general existence. I love the ideas of most of these OP trait mods, like highlander or god mods or the beast mod, but very quickly they are everywhere.

It is possible duels or war centric activities could be used. I'd have to dig into it. Honestly I wanted to make a mod that was dependent on wars over battles, but the in-game triggers are fairly limiting and require work arounds which I'm still figuring out both in my head and in game.

@renown this is the first time I'm playing one of your mods but I'm really liking it. Some other mods, such as Highlander Mod made it a bit too easy. The later levels are difficult to achieve unless you're constantly at war but that's the point, I assume. Would it be possible to add duels or other war-centric activities like battles in grand tournaments to the counter?
