The Celestial Snatcher

描述
A formidable foe lands from the heavens!
A powerful entity from beyond has crashed down in a remote location on the water. Imbued with the power of the cosmos, it yearns for battle only with those of comparable strength! Go forth, and prove yourself to the cosmos.

Contains a single Death Wish contract that you need all 114 stamps to be able to access.

A fair word of warning: this death wish is extremely difficult and was designed with the intention of being the new most difficult death wish on the workshop. Your abilities will be pushed to their absolute limits..

Special Thanks
Huge thank you and shoutout to both SuperInkLink and JABrules for the original base this mod was built off of and giving the greenlight to do so. This mod wouldn't have been possible with them! If you want more challenging boss fights to conquer, I would check out their custom snatcher boss fights below. Huge shoutouts as well to Mentrilum's Cosmic Snatcher mod, a big inspiration for making Celestial Snatcher:

Cosmic Cube Hell (Absolute Snatcher)
Hyper Snatcher
Cosmic Snatcher

Ya thanks for giving it a try even if it wasn't ur cup of tea. I actually agree with you about the parry mechanic. I'm pretty happy how the mechanic turned out but I wish I used it more.Since it causes damage I kinda designed it around it being a more sparse thing you have the opportunity to take advantage of to speed up or clutch out a low hp attempt, but it definitely would've felt better if the existence of it was designed around from the start.

Giving him more hp and having him do more projectile attacks while maybe giving it a few extra variants would be so good. I kinda realized that a bit later in development and didn't want to rebalance and restructure the whole fight bc of it pretty much. If I ever made another snatcher based boss I'd definitely bring the mechanic back and make it a bit more front and center and balance around it because its really fun.

It's great you gave it a shot! This one was designed to challenge the small group who consistently play these difficulty tiers of Snatchers, but there's a few Snatcher variants out there that don't go this crazy high in difficulty, if you want!

Can recommend the one from Semi-EX Boss Rush for a neat changeup to the fight! There's also a plethora of non-Snatch fights that are really cool, Death Wish or otherwise.

I decided to temporarily come back to this game to check out this level (albeit with infinite health since I just wanted to check it out) and there's some things I'd like to say so take this with a grain of salt.

It has a decent amout of unique attacks that go pretty well once you understand them, it has a good difficulty ramping and the bonus missions aren't too unforgiving.

That said just like every Snatcher remake, I'm not a big fan of how it's always designed to be incredibly difficult/the new "most difficult deathwish". There are some attacks that I just couldn't understand how they worked or how to avoid them, the parry mechanic although interesting, feels a little underwhelming due to not being used as often as I expected. I had a few performance issues, mostly being massive FPS drop.

I can see the time and effort that was put into this but unfortunately this just isn't my cup of tea, that's what I get for not taking a warning seriously.

... This is a fight that is extremely difficult and intimidating but also feels very doable as you inch closer and closer to the finish line. I love this mod. It's not for everyone, but if you are even a tiny bit interested in the grind, give it a try!!!!

... Having no previous experience I learned every attack from scratch, from old attacks like Tri to brand new ones, and I greatly enjoyed how each attack is balanced. There's some things I'd still want to change with the balancing, but in it's current state, every single attack and its variation feels at least somewhat unique and fun to learn and dodge, and every attack feels like I could dodge consistently some day, yes, even the ones involving some RNG. If you wanna get into this fight though, note that you don't have to be able to dodge everything: one of my favourite parts about the balancing is how health is given to you. Not only do you get 2 health pons per orb hit, parrying gives you a free potion hit also giving 2 health in earlier phases, and a free health pon in later phases; and during the fight's crazy intense finale, you get not only 1, but two full health giveaways, which makes this fight feel brutal but extremely fair...
