Forcefield Projectors

This mod adds a futuristic forcefield projector building that allows shielding your base from meteor impacts, as well as sealing off vaccum areas



Current latest Version: 1.0.4




Features
  • New Building: Forcefield Projector
  • Requires 100kg of refined metals.
  • Unlocked with the research "Projectiles".
  • Consumes 50W while charging its barrier, 10W while at maximum charge (values configurable)
  • Barrier takes 10 seconds to fully charge up to maximum strength
  • Barrier blocks liquids, gases and meteors (does NOT block Demolior).
  • Barrier does not blocks tasks, mining lasers, rockets or light (10% of light gets absorbed).
  • Items, Duplicants and Critters can pass through the barrier (duplicants get slowed while doing so).
  • Duplicants passing through a barrier will drain some of its strength.
  • Meteors hitting a forcefield will drain some of its strength
  • Large adjacent liquid masses will excert a constant drain on the barrier strength
  • Barrier damage is shared with adjacent forcefield projectors; building multiple rows of projectors increases the effective strength of each individual segment.
  • If a barrier collapses, it will take a few seconds to 'cool down' before it starts regenerating
  • if the projector loses power, its barrier will collapse instantly, so make sure you have energy buffers

thats caused by a different mod of yours.
the building does not open any overlay on its own

The projectors open up the plumbing overlay when selected in the build menu, despite the building not having any plumbing ports.

"I noticed an issue: after the energy storage is fully charged and then the power is cut off, theoretically, it should consume 50W of electricity to recharge when powered again. However, I found that it still only consumes 10W during recharging. Only the first charge after loading a save file consumes the correct amount of electricity."

Hi Imalas, I've noticed that when this mod is installed together with Disease Expanded, the textures of this mod will conflict with those of the Shield Generator in Disease Expanded. In my game situation, the specific manifestation is that the texture of the Shield Generator is wrongly displayed as the Forcefield Projector texture of this mod. I'm very sorry because I enabled too many mods (about 200) and I almost couldn't start the game cleanly to troubleshoot the issue. Could you please confirm this?
