Stronger Guns/Increased Gun Range for 1212

描述
Makes guns more relevant and useful in battle. Guns can now take out large swathes of units at long range. May be a bit overpowered but so were guns.

Save game compatible.

Roughly doubles Damage for the arquebus and regular handgun. Handgun range is increased to arquebuses original range and the arquebuses range is doubled. Reload time cannot be reduced any further than base 1212 due to animation time. Arquebus (only) get a low chance to penetrate enemies with projectiles.

Special thanks to Tycherious for helping me figure this out, this is my first ever mod so lmk if there are any issues and I will do nothing about it because I have no idea how this works really.

2nd picture is English kings guard on foot after one volley of Swiss Arquebussiers.

I think i might have made them too powerful. I'm thinking about reducing arquebus range slightly and removing the chance for the rounds to penetrate. Regular handguns would stay the same, lmk in the comments if you want me to do this.

Hary i agree this makes them too overpowered. i want to decrease range a bit So they can only get one volley off on cavalry (assuming they are direct charging the musketeers) and still have time to retreat behind the battleline, and get 2 volleys on regular infantry before they close. Id have to test it out

Herr_Lindstrom i'd love to do that but i have no idea how. coldwheat the guns cant reload any faster because of how long it takes for the animation of reloading to complete. If i reduced reload time/increase reload skill it wouldnt change anything.

Maybe try lowering accuracy so not as many projectiles make their mark at range but as distance is closed then point blank volleys should still be quite devastating.

the rifles are very strong they should be weakened a bit
i also have a problem with the original game that the riflemen are very weak

Perhaps the damage at close range should be higher.

Slightly lower lethality, and the hit rate at close range is not high either.:steamsad:
