I made some adjustments for my personal comfort, you might enjoy em too, i tried my best to make sure these controls interfere as little as possible with the existing game controls

1 - right click the collection on your steam library and select "Properties"



2 - go to the controller section and select "Enable Steam Input" from the drop down menu

works best with PlayStation controllers, but it will work with basically any standard controller, including the steam deck

press R2 to use your item attacks in CV1, CV2, CV3 and CVII:BR, can also be used to more easily perform the upward attacks in Bloodlines and Kid Dracula, L3, swaps attack and jump button, so you dont have to change controls for every game, upmost face button toggles auto charge for Kid Dracula, L1 swaps magic in Kid Dracula, Long Press Start to disable extra controls, Start + Select to shutdown game

• (Long Press) : Toggles fullscreen mode
  
  
• + : Shuts down game, Konami never added an exit game option
  
  
• (Long Press) : Disables or enables all extra options from this config, except for the stuff in the "Collection Controls" section, this is so you can navigate the extras easily

• : Toggles auto-charge mode for Kid Dracula, you wont have to keep holding down the attack button to charge up your attack, it will charge automatically, you press the attack button to fire
  
  
• : Select charged magic attack in Kid Dracula, this is the same as pressing , but more easily accessible, it will also disable auto-charge mode since you cant change magic attacks while charging
  
  
• : Sub Weapon Attack in Castlevania 1, Castlevania 2, Castlevania 3 and Belmont's Revenge, you can also use it to attack upwards in Bloodlines and Kid Dracula
  
  
• : Inverts Jump and Attack buttons, theres no consistency among the titles of this collection, you could change the controls of each title individually, but if you dont want the hassle, this is the alternative

while using a PlayStation controller, the LED will change color depending on whether you have inverted Jump and Attack buttons or not, if you have auto-charge enabled and so on

i also added a few extra commands to the touchpad, these commands will also be available if you use this config on a Steam Deck by using the trackpads

• (Directional Swipe) : Toggles auto-charge mode for Kid Dracula

these games are so simple they honestly do not need many QoL adjustments, but i think the auto-charge mode for Kid Dracula is a nice addition, give it a try, the one button Sub Weapon Attack with R2 is also nice

this was the first Castlevania Collection Konami released and is by far the most rough, no rewind function, attack and jump buttons switch up every other game, and the controller configs apply to the whole collection, instead of simply ingame, thats why i added an option to toggle on and off the config, in case you want to check the extras in the collection, you probably wont, but still
