Conquest: Iron Front

描述
THIS MOD IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT
and is my first mod ever.
This mod rebalances Conquest mode for a much more challenging
realistic, war-like experience. Money and research is short especally on low economy
Aswell as add custom build maps to the game

So far I have changed:

CP for all economies;
Low: 40 55 62 75 90
Standard: 40 55 62 75 100
High: 45 60 65 80 105
VeryHigh: 50 60 70 85 110

Changed The Prep:
MIN 8 minutes
MAX 10 minutes

The Ai progression for campain Length
with 20 Stages in total:

Small: max 15 (day 30)
Medium: max 18 (day 43)
Long: max 20 (day 52)
Very long: max 20 (day 60)
unlimited: max 21 (day 70)
21 for unlimited only
USSR: 280mm Br5, T-34/85b,T-34 85 Flame, Is 2 1945 ISU-122s, ISU-152
GER: 88 Flak36, 200mm mortar, Karl, Sd.kfz 251/21 , jagdtiger
Made bombing runs Less likely

changed:
Income (MP)
ammunition
Research points
1200 Score (Tickets)

Made the AI deploy slower.


Germany:
Tech tree reworked for the AI | [excluding infantry]
& priorities changed | [excluding infantry]

USSR:
Tech tree reworked for the AI
& Prioriies Changed

And some other minor changes.

@kuikka the update gonna release tmrw i did a lot of changes and the AI research stages especally changed maybe even to slow if u mind to let me know what u think then that would be very helpfull
im just running some mor egame tests before i release it

I don't think there's too little, actually the opposite. Every map there's a area littered with destroyed tanks, and that forces you to play with the AI's terms (use own or captured tanks) in order to survive. And the AI progression is still quite fast, I don't think there's too much difference in vanilla to be honest so if there are changes coming I'll wait eagerly.

@kuikka i did change the tank smap though if its to little now let me now but ive encounter a LOT of tanks at day 5-10 wich there isnt much at that stage I can do about it so maybe late war i have to add more tanks back again

Hmm, I would say it feels like tank spam, while there are plenty of infantry as well. Last match I encountered maybe 3 kv tanks, 2 shermans, some T-34s & Valentines and a bunch of light tanks. I field full roster and play 2-3 star missions, though. I started a new campaign as Finns Vs USSR, and I had to rush AT guns as soviets fielded pretty their medium & heavy tanks way faster than i could. So if you say the tech tree has been in development it might explain why it feels like vanilla progress (I thought soviets were finished already).

and the tech tree should be done for the soviets around 1st of October

Okay, after playing this a while - lower amount of rewards and RP is good, but I tstill think the loot money is quite high and it keeps you easily afloat. About 60 coins on average on heavier equipment or so? No issue with money on day 21. And for some reason I still had to rush the tank line as I started to face T-34s and KV tanks when I had pz 38t line in development. What is the period when AI starts buying those tanks?

I have been testing this in a GER - USSR campaign, and I really like how on low economy setting you really feel the casualties as there's not necessarily any money to buy a new one - heck, some battles leave me unable to replenish from my losses. Great! The only issue is facing lend-lease late shermans with my Pz 38t tanks, those appeared around day 8-9 I think. I played one of the earliest defense match without the mod being active (this mod keeps disabling itself, dunno if any updates caused this?) so I wonder if it messed up AI research points for that match (extra research points). While I usually play with larger mods like MACe or Valor, those suffer a bit from the AI research speed & arty spam.

Tested and it's not compatible with MACE, which is unfortunate but expected. Campaign creation screen is bugged.

I haven't tested myself

And yes the AI has minor changes in that already though not to much yet that will change over time though for sure
