Florida
Humanity's home planet. Gone are the days of calm weather, livable temperatures, nitrogen-rich atmosphere, and signs of life; The entire world has become Florida, covered in scorching swamps with steamy air and daily storms.

Resources:
Florida has a complete lack of all ices, but is covered in water.
No ices.
Ore chunks are only found in the plateaus.
The coasts contain all the deep mineable silver and most of the gold.
Deep mineable cobalt is found exclusively underwater along with most of the coal.

Atmosphere:
After a cataclysmic event fused all of the oxygen with the nitrogen and blasted off the majority of the atmosphere, all that remains is nitrous and steam.
Composition: 97.3% Nitrous Oxide, 2.7% Steam
Pressure: 40-41kPa.
Temperature: 69-80c.

Weather:
Short but frequent tropical storms.
Visuals: No fog, just raindrops.
Movement: No movement speed impact.
Frequency: Every day.
Duration: 30-60 seconds.
Temperature offset: -10k
Solar Multiplier: 0.33x.
Wind Multiplier: 2x.

- Solar is now the same as the moon so plants grow. in sunlight

- Reduced percentage of steam in atmosphere to make phase change cooling more efficient.
- Storms now remove 10k of heat regardless of time of day.

You make a heightmap image, a surface texture, and an underground / secondary texture. Then copy one of the vanilla planet xmls and change the paths to be for your textures. Then in-game open the console, type terraineditor, select the heightmap, generate the terrain, export the terrain (still in the same menu), then copy the terrain files from the export location into your mod so it can use them.

@Apothicon How did you connect your textures to the game? Created terrain in Unity, textured them, and then what? I'm just a noob, interested in the process
