Diesel-Electric Train Mk3

描述
Price: $61,496
Fuel: 20000 Liters
Fuel Consumption: 0.1 to 4 L/s at max power.
Effective Range: 100km

Diesel Boiler-Electric version (10x more fuel efficient, 1.2x more power)
Diesel Boiler-Electric version with Slug

RPS lever allows you to lower your fuel consumption directly, 7-8 RPS is the most efficient for a large engine. This engine starts at 12 for the best power vs efficiency.

This Multi-Role Diesel-Electric Train has many features, including:
* 10ATM Brake Pipe for other cars
* Large Modular Supercharged 4-Cylinder Engine, 4kA Capacity
* ABS Braking for individual Brakes
* High speed gearing for the medium electric motors, without it your maximum speed is 54 m/s.
* Horizontal Suspension for curves
* Can share power with slugs. (See https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3544359124 for the slug)
** Slug speed control is on radio channel 687.35

The slug is filled with extra traction motors. By itself, the bogies can only draw up to 2kA, but with more slugs behind the main train, you can increase that up to 4-5 kA to get the maximum performance out of the Diesel generator. IRL: Slugs would also be filled with concrete, but Stormworks does not improve tractive effort with weight above the bogies.

From 0 to 30, the gearing allows for 100% throttle, but when you go above 30 it begins to slip. You have to move the throttle down to 0.30 and wait until it reaches 55-65 m/s before you can increase it again.

I made a Diesel Furnace version here:

Diesel Boiler-electric is 10x more efficient, at the very least.

I'm trying to make a diesel boiler version, since DB is basically overpowered in terms of fuel efficiency.
