Technology has come a long way, ships keep becoming bigger, and with innovations toward the next century. This century has no shortage of first contacts either, including but not limited to the Gorn Hegemony, the Metrons, the Talosians, and threats from the far reaches of our galaxy. A lot of weird stuff happened, too, like the one with whales.
