ONETT: Source

ONETT: Source is a full 3D recreation of Earthbound's starting location, Onett town, in TF2's Source engine! It's also my love letter to the Mother franchise as a whole, and it only took five years to make.

Minus the Giant Step cave interior, everything from the original Onett is here, including every building, every prop, every character, every tree, every patch of grass. And with the power of VScript, this map both looks AND plays like Earthbound!

• Rolling HP system, the map's main quirk where all damage bleeds out HP over time, making every death survivable! (Refer to video trailer at 1:06)
  
  
• Customizable Text-Box that both displays characters' dialogue & PvP text between players. Every weapon has a unique line.
  
  
• Credit system, Spend the money you get from defeating players to restore health or buy weapon upgrades in town shops.
  
  
• Text/Voiceline response system to respond back to certain NPCs and objects like shopkeepers and ATMs.
  
  
• Day/Night cycle with round timer acting like real clock (12‑minute day / 6‑minute night)
  
  
• "Hidden Characters", aka five playable sprites you must unlock by doing secrets.
  
  
• Fun commands like Bunny Hop, location pinging, host-only settings and more...
  
  
• Secret ending cutscene

1. Subscribe to this map, open TF2, then click on the Start server tab.
   
2. Scroll through the list until you find (UGC) onett_source.
   
3. Then choose server type Friends only and hit Start.
   
4. Invite your friends through Steam and explore Onett town together.
