Gameplay Guide

General and Governor Career


General Skills are Divided into General and Governor Careers, Affecting both Battles and Campaign.

Generals are best kept in Battles, Garrisons with more than Half Stack Armies, or in Camps/Forts Training their Soldiers.

Authority - Affects Morale, Attack, Charge and other Melee Soldiers. Also Public Order while Governing.

Cunning - Affects Defense, Amount of Traps you can set, Upkeep, and Settlement Management such as Maintenance Cost.

Zeal - Affects General, Bodyguard Combat Skills, and also Range Units Morale.

Governors help the most with Settlements, their Skills include Sanitation, Public Order, Food, Bonuses vs Raiding or Rebel Armies. As Governors become more Serious in their Careers they will lose Integrity from their Soldiers and Garrison.

Garrison and Supply Depot

Supply Depot - Gives Movement Bonus, and Integrity/Supplies in Enemy Territory,
Tier I-II 1-2 gives +1 Integrity and Supplies to every Army in your Faction in Enemy Territory.
III - gives +2
(You can Stack these Bonuses, Example. If you Build 4 Supply Post, All your Armies in Enemy Territory gets +4 Integrity and Morale.)

Garrison - Train Troops, Small Campaign movement bonus, Reinforcement Range for your Garrison and Armies in Region.

Completed Supply System

Integrity and Supplies are more Dynamic in Battles and Campaign, Linking Food and Supplies from Storage Reserves to boost the Morale of your Army, keeping their Supplies and Morale up is important. This divides how Troops are affected by Generals direct Morale Boost, and Settlement's Buildings.

Navy Ports - Increase in Supplies to Storage Reserves

Garrisons - Decrease Supplies in Storage Reserves along with Food Consumption

Garrison Armies - Small Decrease Food/Supplies in Storage Reserves but get Integrity and Supplies Bonuses

Traversing your Kingdom - with your Armies now affects their Food and Supplies Storage

Ambush and Foraging - Now Affects your Food and Armies Supplies/Integrity

Raiding - Consumes Supplies and Food of Settlements, gives Supplies and Integrity to your Army.

AI Behavior - AI Manages Morale very well, They will Stay at Borders and make sure they have enough Integrity and Supplies for their Armies Morale before Invading your Lands.
They will also pick wisely between Raiding and Setting Camps/Forts in Enemy Territories.
They Retreat back to their Lands or Allies when their Armies run out of Supplies and Integrity to replenish.

Cons : a tad bit slow, especially with the ranking up of characters. The ai allthought more compedent in combat and army managment, is not a good city builder. I see the same cities getting rebel bombed again and again cause the AI cannot maintain public order. I would also like to see more expansionist ai , as i think the factions that are given the expasionist trait are too few.

Conclusion : without exagurating, i dont think i ll be able to go back to vanilla 1212, as it will feel like a huge downgrade. It takes a little while to get used to, but it is rewarding , as now when you approach middgame, you are still not that pwoerful to feel like you re done. I strongly recomend it, and really hope that the ai will get improved on the afformentioned issues. Combine with Earls mod for the singlemost unique Total war experience

just had some small runs with your mod, and here are my thoughts

Pros : Amazing in depth strategy, from city building to commanding armies. Now you can plan each city accordingly and not spam the same 3 buildings as in navilla. Reworked population system, that now lets you focus on a specific type of pop and thus never run into the problems of endless peasants and burghers. Military expeditons feel excacly as such. Smaller movement range and supplies make you plan each war you make. A very overlooked aspect of this mod is that its not overwhelming, bonuses from governors to biuldings are not big enough to be bronken, but not small enough to be overlooked. Very nice change of bulding roster and some attributes of factions. And closing with the AI, as its better than in vanilla . It manages its armies better, tries to outmaneuvre you and it is more aggressive

AI changes are part of this mod, and ties well with how overall feel of Campaign and Battles are, I suggest trying out my Mod without additions for a few Turns to see how AI handles Campaign/Diplomacy, then add as you like to customize your experiences.

It also works well in Multiplayer.

Generals gain most their XP from battles or Governing Settlements, have them build or fight to get more Xp and lvl up your Generals faster. It's slowed down so players can learn the new Skills as well, your generals should feel different.

am i right in assuming that this mod will conflict with Bran's MK1212 Campaign AI mod?

great mods ,but are can make to level up more easy because my general or govenor dead before i use all skill/traits in description, like more xp in each diffrent level Please

does it work well in multiplayer campaign or only partially? if partially, could you please specify what is not working in multiplayer?

@SKULL check your mod loadout, you might have another mod affecting it. Yes have this submod over 1212 packs.

hi I have problem this mod does not for me i terms of seasons and 4 tpy.... the generals upgrades are woking fine though. any advices...?
my load order is this mod and next is 1212

could you do just a 4 terns per year and the general traits as its own thing? sorry to ask i appreciate what you a trying to do and i understand if its too much work, but if its possible it would be greatly appreciated.
