Sorry for the late reply but basically, you just have to sell the veggie in Ginormosia, at the stall next to each of the 6 monster settlements. As such, you can sell up to 180 veggie at a time.
Wicked Mandrake sells for 20 Cashnut each, which is the highest among all veggie.
Additionally, most other basic veggie sells for 1 Cashnut only, 3 for the uncommon variant and 5 for the rare variant, lastly 10 for the Giant variant. However, only the basic one is easily purchasable, so I recommend selling that if you don't know which one to pick.
"Ranoah's Treasure" is the quest. I can confirm it's available postgame; talked to Ranoah with the speech bubble 💭 and the quest started. It has Trip, cutscenes, and is recommended at level 5 so it's definitely from the beginning.
"Feelings Sway, Emotions Weigh" is the other one from Auntie Anne, also available postgame.
When you said "expired in Chapter 5", if you meant JUST the dialogue, then that'd make sense
The game does a good job in preventing missables like letting you change your appearance, island name, etc. so there's likely no missable quests
1. I'm playing the Switch edition, not the Steam one
2. I don't know why the Roaming Mimics (unofficial name) self-destruct either; I assume they do that once they lead you to whatever they meant to lead you to? (ex: Roaming Mimics tend to lead you towards Shrines, etc.)
"Every Mimic drops a Treasure Grove sapling when defeated
Sometimes they do self-destruct and wouldn't drop sapling, I'm not sure why yet"
I have found self-destructing Mimics STILL drop a Treasure Grove sapling, but no other rewards (perhaps this change was made in the 1.2.1 update?). I've also found that ONLY THE ROAMING MIMICS (so not the Mimics in caves, like Nostruul Cave) drop Treasure Grove saplings -- all other Mimics has a different drop table which exclude Treasure Grove saplings.
This is especially important for miner and woodcutter as your damage to nodes can skyrocket with the right bonuses. The faster we can do things, the more we can cycle around grabbing all the boss items!
