Hypoxia Mod

描述
Overview
Intended for realistic HALO/HAHO insertions. The Hypoxia Mod simulates oxygen deprivation effects at high altitudes during gameplay. When players ascend above 4000 meters without proper protection, they will experience unconsciousness through ACE Medical integration. This effect only applies when the player is outside of a vehicle.

Allowed Facewear
The mod comes with a pre-configured list of facewear, primarily featuring the SOLR oxygen masks from USP and TFL. This list can be modified through CBA Settings. There are no hard dependencies on any specific gear mods, allowing you to add custom facewear from any mod of your choice.

Usage
When the mod is active:
1. Players jumping from aircraft above the set altitude threshold (default 4000m) without proper facewear will become unconscious
2. Wearing any facewear from the approved list prevents hypoxia effects
3. The mod can be enabled/disabled via CBA Settings
4. The altitude threshold can be adjusted through CBA Settings (range: 1000m to 10000m)
5. Custom facewear can be added to the protection list through CBA Settings

Technical Details
- The mod checks altitude every second
- Only applies to players outside of vehicles
- Uses ACE Medical's unconscious state to simulate hypoxia

Troubleshooting
- If the effect isn't working, verify the mod is enabled in CBA Settings
- Check that ACE Medical is properly loaded
- Ensure the facewear you're using is in the allowed list

Adding Custom Facewear
To add custom facewear to the allowed list:
1. Open the game settings menu
2. Navigate to Addon Options → Hypoxia Mod → Additional Facewear
3. Enter your custom facewear classnames as a comma-separated list

Example:
My_Custom_Mask, Another_Mask, Third_Mask

No restart is required; changes take effect immediately

mr Mungus, when can we expect the Arma 3 sex mod compat for this?

@marcosjuega707 Yes, I’ve tested it, and it works with KAT Medical.

You’re right, and if you check out the discussion I posted titled “Configurable Unconscious Time,” you’ll see the rough roadmap I have for the mod.

To go into more detail here: I plan to add more modularity and features over time. Users will soon be able to specify a fixed time before a player becomes unconscious from hypoxia (e.g., 30 seconds). The default will remain at 0 seconds, similar to the current implementation.

There will be a toggle in the settings to choose between using a fixed time or calculating the time based on altitude. I also plan to include a scalar value to allow even further adjustment. Additionally, I’m looking into reflecting hypoxia effects in the ACE SpO2 values for added immersion.

I’m also considering adding visual and possibly sound effects to enhance immersion, with the option to toggle them on or off in the settings.

Thanks for your feedback!

you could make the SpO2 lower the higher you get or the longer you are on the air, or just get instantly unconsious to not make unesesary code that might get broken with KAT updates
