MBV-3 Armoured Train

描述
WIP Exploration / Conquest armoured train.

Features:
- D-D truck layout for superior speed, handling, and traction.
- 8-cylinder 3x3 Diesel engine with clutch-based traction control for combat speed.
- Three T-52z tank turrets (currently non-functional)
- Nose and Tail Machine Gun stations
- Engine Compartment Fire Suppression
- Deployable conning tower
- Elevating periscope
- Working Coincident Optical Rangefinder (beware of motion sickness)
- Driver's Seat!

To operate:
1. Enter through main side door.
2. Deploy Conning Tower (but _not_ periscope!)
3. Start cooling and fuel pumps (left, above fuel gauges and ignition)
4. Enable Wheel Slip traction control.
5. Start engine.
6. Gently increase throttle (full automatic traction control engages above 33%)
7. Once the vehicle has exited the train shed, deploy the periscope (button under periscope handles)
8. Manual clutch override, reverse button, and brakes can be used to adjust speed or maneuver for hooking up train.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER OR LEAVE THE SHED WITH TOWER AND PERISCOPE BOTH DEPLOYED.
Any damage to the sensitive optics will be taken out of your hide, Comrade!

Primary Controls

  1. Coolant and air pumps
  2. Fuel pumps
  3. Left side fuel tank level
  4. Right side fuel tank level
  5. Ignition/run
  6. Engage automatic traction control*
  7. Throttle
  8. Reverse**
  9. Send signal to switch tracks
  10. Switch tank feed from left to right tank

* To 33% throttle: linear clutch. >33% throttle: smart traction control to prevent slipping.
** Come to a complete stop before engaging reverse.

Preferred Towing Configuration


When towing a TCP-compatible load, please use these settings:

  • Master requested and locked.
  • Parking brake disengaged.
  • Traction control / Wheel Slip functionality engaged.
  • Instrument lights, Conning Tower lights, and Headlights/Taillights activated.
  • Smoothly increasing throttle until traction control engages and the clutch is fully employed (as indicated by the traction control instruments, right side). Then continue increasing throttle while wheel slip does not occur.

Inertial Map v1.0

The inertial location tracking map can now display the vehicle's location and track its movement.
The user must first lock in the current location using the map, at which point continuous positional updates will begin.



  1. Move Map North / South
  2. Move Map West/East
  3. Zoom out / in
  4. Lock current center point as the vehicle's starting location.
  5. Set map to track the vehicle's updating position as it moves.







Note:
This system utilizes as complex set of sensors, gyroscopes, and accelerometers to continuously compute the vehicle's location.
But the initial location setting is critical!
Any loss of an armoured train due to negligent map usage, incorrect navigation, or positional mistakes will not be tolerated!
