Radioactive Barrel Props

The Radioactive Barrel Props mod is a simple modification of the game's standard yellow barrel object, identified as a toxic waste container, with the purpose of being just a prop without its usage characteristics and storage mechanics, ideal for DayZ content creators and modders who imagine post-apocalyptic scenarios and customize areas affected by radiation or contamination.

Modifying and customizing this mod is not allowed, but you may repack it for use on your server as long as you give it a like, add it to your favorites, and include a link to this page.

*Can be used on any DayZ map.

This mod is just a prop, a scenery object. It's not a mod for setting up radioactive areas. If you're looking for a good mod to create your own radioactive areas, look for Simple Radiation. It's what I use on my server. To create more immersive custom areas, I created these props. That's all.

do you need a suit for protection? Or just a gas mask? Is there a radiation protection setting?

A custom airfield in Livonia features a secured laboratory at one end. Evidence suggests a classified project was being produced here and routinely shipped out. The cargo required radioactive material. During a landing, a C-130 carrying a load of barrels lost control when an infected on board triggered chaos. The transport crashed on approach; several barrels remain inside the fuselage, with others scattered along the wreck. The scene is highly detailed, and survivors have already given the site a nickname: “The Fridge.”

That's great! Good to know it's being useful. That's the purpose. I couldn't find any other barrel with a profile that kept the DayZ look as original as possible, so I made one. I'm using mine on the Sakhal map, and you?
