描述
This mod should now be considered Depreciated with all the heavy changes to classes they have been making and only affects 5 classes at this point, and if they keep making these heavy alterations I may just completely take down this mod instead of ripping out all my alterations to the classes.

Every affected class can be affected by Unit Enchantments by taking the appropriate skills I list below. I have also modified skill descriptions to indicate when they will enable unit enchantments, but due to how the game is set up they may not always show up.

WARNING: This mod is Not Save Game Friendly. In saved games where you have a leader or hero with a class altered by this mod, you will not be able to enter the skill trees and spend earned skill points.
There is a known glitch with the unit enchantment Spell-Tempered Shields that causes the visual effect to be extremely large on Giants, and most likely Dragons and Eldritch Scions also.

The following modifications to classes are still affected:

* Death Knight
>> Fighter unit classification: Berserker's Rage(*), Grim Executioner, Fighting I, Critical Momentum(*), Killing Momentum(*).
>> Battle Mage unit classification: Mass Curse, Frost Curse, Knight of Weakness, Infested Summons.
>> Shield unit classification: Knight.
>> Altered the name of 6 skills, changed the description of 18 skills, modified the effects of 11 skills.

* Spellblade
>> Battle Mage unit classification: Fireflow, Thunderspark, Aethermancy, Spellblade I.
>> Scout unit classification: Evasive Strikes, Knockback Retaliations(*).
>> Skirmisher unit classification: Skirmisher Training.
>> Altered the name of 13 skills, changed the description of 13 skills, modified the effects of 13 skills, completely removed 1 skill.

* Ranger
>> Ranged unit classification: Piercing Shot, Miasma Shot, Knockback Snapshot, Disruptive Snapshot, Swarm Hunter, Big Game Hunter, Ensnaring Hunter Ranger I.
>> Scout unit classification: Evasive Strikes, Slip Away(*), Knockback Retaliations.
>> Skirmisher unit classification: Skirmisher Training.
>> Altered the name of 6 skills, changed the description of 19 skills, modified the effects of 7 skills.

* Defender
>> Shield unit classification: Tireless Retaliator, Sentinel(*), Shieldbearer, Defense III.
>> Polearm unit classification: Braced Defense.
>> Shock unit classification: Aggressive Push, Consolidating Push, Weakening Strikes, Offensive Vanguard.
>> Altered the name of 11 skills, changed the description of 12 skills, modified the effects of 6 skills.

* Warrior
>> Fighter unit classification: Berserker's Rage(*), Grim Executioner, Killing Momentum(*), Fighting I, Critical Momentum(*).
>> Shock unit classification: Prepared Charge, Berserker, Sundering Strikes.
>> Shield unit classification: Warrior Defense, Knight.
>> Altered the name of 8 skills, changed the description of 11 skills, modified the effects of 3 skills.

(*) == Edited description denoting enables Unit Enchantments does not display in-game.

Known Mod Conflicts:
Unofficial Patch Age of Wonders 4 (If you use the Unofficial Patch mod, the ClassesRestructure mod must be placed below it in the Playlist load order, otherwise the Death Knight skilltree becomes broken.)

Known Incompatible Mods:
No Conflicting Skills (No real point using my mod if you like this one instead. Now partially compatible! Please see the ** below.)
Enchantments work on heroes (I have however built something similar into my mod as a base functionality, really brilliant idea Lumintorious, props!)
** Only incompatible for classes affected by this mod, and this mod should be loaded after the above mods in order to work properly.

Special Note regarding Unit Enchantments: The description in Unit Enchantment spells that shows the number and list of affected units when moused-over will Not display or count Hero units and Rulers, however when cast they are affected and the enchantment shows up in their list of things they are affected by (their upkeep is also affected.) This mod is Freeware so can be used by owners of Age of Wonders 4 in any way they see fit without need of giving me credit (though if you make a mod using some of this I would love to hear about it!), except this mod can not be sold in whole or in part to make a profit, thank you and I hope you enjoy. ^.^

@Tom ~ Yea, that is an older part of the description I will update now, heh, from back when I had modified all the existing classes, good catch, thank you. ^.^

As furr allowing classes to get enchantments, the way the game works I need to flag the class as a specific unit type, and those flags can give skills automatically. I did not realize Shield Units get the defenses by default, or maybe they added it at some point? But Skirmishers get Slippery and one other which is why I use skills that already give them to enable those enchantments. Polearm units also get First Strike which is why I only have 1 skill that gives it since the skill gave that one already.

@Zaxori ~ That is a really good point, in fact at the end of my description I mention this mod can be used by AoW4 owners however they like as long as not used furr profit, so I have no problem if another modder wants to grab this and use it to make their own mods, or if someone wanted to update and maintain this one.

In fact, if there is any modder that wants to grab this up and update it please let me know your mod and I will link directly to it here.

I played this mod for the first time yesterday and I really like it. I played with the Ranger, Defender and Warrior classes. I think they are all more enjoyable than the original, and the skill tree is more logically structured. However, I found an interesting bug. If I take the shield unit ability, I not only get the enchantments, but I also immediately get 3 defenses.

Oh, and it is compatible with the "No Conflicting Skills" mod. It removes the locks for the classes that this mod does not modify. I tried it with Elementalist and the skill tree is without locks, while my ranger, warrior and defender characters use this rearranged skill tree.

You know... I was thinking. You should definitely leave this mod up and for two reason. 1. At least for a while, even if one class breaks, it's only one class. All of the rest of the classes work just fine. Small price to pay to be able to use this mod. 2. So long as you don't mind, usually modders also inspire other modders. Someone might see your mod and use it as a base for theirs or even take the time to update it for you. It's a win-win in my opinion.

Alright, problems should now be fixed with Ritualist crashing, but I had to go in and remove all of my changes to the class again. At this point I am considering this mod Depreciated, and if they keep making heavy changes to classes I might just take it down (or hide it from public?), thank you everyone for your support and I was very happy with this mod while it lasted, seems its days are quickly coming to an end sadly, but hey, that means they are improving the classes right?

Oh hell, le-sigh, I'll have a look, my guess is some of its skills draw upon Mage tree and since I removed all my alterations to it, it is now causing problems. Please let me know if there are problems with any other classes?

I might have to wind up removing alterations to class abilities and just go with moving skills around on the trees.
