Yes I did, the problem was elsewhere, I figured it out and finished the game in the meantime

Did you first install Union?
It's required for this mod to work, its listed as requirements here on steam. After installing both of these you need to run the game with Mod Launcher, you can choose it after starting gothic or in properties when right clicking the game in library. You should see the list of active mods in the mod launcher before running the game.
