the game will soft crash, we will both be motionless, though the sounds will still play, any quick fix for this? I have the Union patch and community patches installed though still it crashes like this in the intro.

I personally like Gothic 1 a bit more. The story and environment are a bit more interesting. Starting in the penal colony continuing on your quest to escape the barrier is fairly unique and fun.
