The Napir was the first ship sent to The Almagest. From it, as well as from its sister ships all else in The Almagest would be built.




The Napir was the first ship sent to The Almagest. From it, as well as from its sister ships all else in The Almagest would be built. They held in their hands the fate of every single colonist who would come after. If something went wrong, the rest of us would never know.

Therefore, The Napir was made with redundancy after redundancy built in. The ship carried massive stores of construction supplies and the capability to be turned into a permanent residence, should none of The Almagest’s planets be suitable for life. The arrival of The Napir marks the beginning of The Almagest’s calendar.
