-Fuel efficiency: this is inherent to tilt rotor design. I'm not sure how the propeller's thrust and efficiency are modelled, but the props have to be somewhat small compared to the aircraft size (to be able to rotate around the wing without hitting the fuselage or the ground), meaning needing more blades or RPS to achieve the same lift which ultimately consumes more fuel.
Some things I can address already:
-I'm not sure adding a gyro will help? I prefer to rely on my own PID, the few times I used a gyro in helis did not pan out too well.
-You can move out of the hanger relatively easily just by going itno standard flight mode, releasing the landing gear handbrake, and giving 2 bars of throttle (thereabouts) to taxi at a slow pace.
-Unfortunately the landing gear are bit vulnerable to collapse, this is a problem I have with all planes unless they have fixed trains. Typical Stormworksn't. Be sure to run the Physics in High to reduce that risk. If that doesn't work, just rebuild the gear to be fixed, retracting them is mostly to imitate reality, but doesn't have a significant effect.
1. Rear chasiss tend to "bend" backwards after landing and during taxi (I just swapped it with 5 blocks, the wheels and connected the Handbrake of all three wheels directly to the button of the handbrake)
2. Side doors sometimes won't close when sitting on controlling harness and pressing Space. Even buttons on the walls won't close it but eventually they close. What's the problem? I have no idea, but my suggestion it's the way how the game works (somehow)
3. Maaaaaaan this thing is HUNGRY for jet fuel, really really hungry
