Each joint is movable, so you can set your own pose.
The angle of the turret can also be fine-tuned.

If you fix the left sole of the main body with [8] and enable the custom turret AI with Ctrl+[2][1], it becomes a fixed turret.
Connect the conveyor block on the left sole of the main body to the conveyor block on the mother ship and enable the custom turret AI by pressing Ctrl+[2][1] to make it a fixed turret whose ammunition is supplied from the mother ship.
To connect to the mothership, use a mod like the one below, or work on the connector on the sole of the foot so that it can be connected to a large block.
