Tome of the Frozen Dead

描述
A combination of Tome of Necromancy, Tome of Cryomancy, and Tome of the Horde.

• Summon skeletons just like you can with Summon Irregulars
• Upgrade them to T2 units
• Enhance units like with Frost Claws & Necrotic Magic
• Ice Coffin and Necrotize are combined
• Spawn and army of skeletons as a siege project
• Necromancers can apply Frozen

DEV NOTE 25/2/19:

i haven't updated the mod with a new patch as i'm still working on where i want to take it in terms of balance, but here's an update for anyone who is interested.

soul generation/mana issues:
the original mod has soul income at a flat 15 per turn which lets you churn out skeletons pretty quickly if you build into mana channeling and try and rush mana nodes. without them it seems like it's at a pretty decent spot but i wanted to maybe delay the soul generation early game a bit more but increase it for medium-late game so i added in a city structure that can be built in all of your cities. the city structure will generate 10 mana (to help with those who don't want to be forced to take mana channeling) and 10 souls. this SHOULD solve the general souls problem for later in the game, giving it a smoother transition into tome of souls and beyond.

woven lord's call (summon/enhance skeleton):
i think i want to change the enhance spell for woven lord's call. maybe instead of it costing only 60 mana i would make it cost 20 souls and 30 mana. i figured it costs the nerco, another T2 mob, 20 souls to train so maybe it would make sense for the skeles to as well. i might have to give them a little more than just a skill. perhaps a passive+skill?

T2 skeleton mages:
i need to buff the mages because i don't think being slippery is enough. i'll make a spell for them or use something with decaying/frozen/slow.

+1 concept is nice, but this is heavily inbalanced.

This is clearly supposed to be a WC3 Lich themed tome (at least I think so), why not calling the edited Necromancer a Frost Lich or something along the lines? Also, he needs to be tuned down, he is INSANE from a T1 tome unit. Or his cost should be higher. Or the whole tome should be a T2, cause the Death Mark is also just too much for a T1 tome.

I'd have to agree with Mike the Red. I wanted to add that Death Mark is just Necrotize but strictly better, they even have the same cost, which is very low.

Frost Plague (tier I tome) is just Projectiles of Decay (tier III tome) that excludes archers/skirmishers. Making it into the regular poison DoT would be better for the level and remove the overlap.

Northern Weaponry is identical to Frost Blades. Change it to do something different, like granting +5 morale when striking frozen/slowed targets or dealing 2 frost damage to another adjacent enemy.

This is *way* too strong for a tier 1 tome.

Death mark would be decent if it inflicted decaying (the best DoT) at 90% and frozen at 60% with slow on failure and dealt no damage for 10 casting points; doing 20 damage, guaranteed decaying, 90% frozen with slow on failure, and razing the target as a zombie for only 15 casting points is insanely OP for a spell from a tier 1 tome.

The special necromancer (which should have a different name, since it's different than normal necromancers), is also crazy powerful, with a 90% chance of freezing on its default attack and also doing everything a normal necromancer does. Changing this to 8 frost + 8 poison + 30% frozen and 60% slowed on failure (get rid of the other attack) and changing its name to something like Frostbite Mage or Icecavern Hermit would make it much more in line with typical units.

I also am getting a visual bug with the battle mage skeletons specifically.

Hi Ender, I have a strange bug. When your tome is active, both vanila and modded necromancer models are heavily bugged, when i turn off your mod - vanila necroman come back to normal. Can be result of other mods conflict (heavily modded game), I'll try to find out who is causing the problem
