WCML Over Shap 1980's (WIP)

A modification of the original route to backdate it to the 1980's. The original route is one of my favorite and while it was also set in the 80's it was more of a hybrid of a modern day route and one set in the past. That's why i decided to backdate the route as much as i can to give a feel of an 80's route. I used Just Trains WCML Preston - Carlisle route as reference.


Whats been changed?


-Replaced track with the one used on the Settle and Carlisle

-Replace texture set with the one used on the Settle and Carlisle to match the track balast

-Removed EPS speed limits and reduced maximum speed to 110 mph

-Reduced speed limits on some junctions and loops

-Removed Great Strickland netural section, Moved Tebay netural section further south to match 1980s locartion

-Added some sidings in the Oxenholme, Carnforth and Lancaster area

-Remodeled Morecambe station and surronding area to match the pre 1994 rebuild

(Sadly no Morecambe theme park due to lack of theme park assets)

-Removed modern day assets (GSM-R towers, ticket machines, modern infoboards and posters)




Routes and asset's needed:



-West Coast Mainline Over shap and all dependencies (Euro assest, USA assets, UK signals, RW foliage etc. )

-Settle and Carlisle

-Weardale and Teesdale ( Needed for some shunt signals and some scenery assets )

-Woodhead in Br Blue ( Only needed for some scenery assets. Recomended but not required for the route to work )



PLEASE NOTE: WOODHEAD BR BLUE SCENARIO PACK AND SOUTHAMPTON - SAILSBURY EXTENSION IS NOT REQUIRED





PLEASE ALSO NOTE:


This cant and wont be a photo realistic route, but one that has a feel to how the route looked in the 80'. Apart from Morecambe station, no major rebuilding has taken place but based on photos the route hasnt changed much in terms of track layout.

This route is still WIP so not everything is finished. Things to do:


-Replace ballast and Remove modern day assets in Kingmoor yard and the line to Dumfries

-Add some sidings at Preston

-(Possibly) Rebuild the branch to Heysham

-(Possibly) Add scenery to the Windemere branch

-Maybe some other changes i have forgot



I uploaded this route to have a backup of it in case something goes wrong
