描述
This submod aims to boost defence armies and defence fleets from garrisons to make them more formidable a threat and provide a good defence when holding worlds.

Defence stations are tankier.

Balance changes have mostly been reverted and kept to main mod balance.


Diplomacy rewards are slightly stronger.

Pirate raids are stronger and more of a threat.

Starting situation of both factions is more difficult than main mod and hutts are now an active threat.

This is compatible with other submods which do not change defence fleets and armies

I enjoy using both admonishers and judicators in early republic fleets. The judicator buff does give it better anti corvette and bomber capability too while admonishers are purely anti fighter tho they are tankier.

np, there are also some fun balance changes previewed for the main mod in future will also have a look at those once released and incorporate them where possible.

To elaborate, in the base-mod the three main Republic corvettes all have separate niches I feel. The Admonisher is a pure anti-fighter/bomber vessel. Almost more like a mobile turret than corvette with low speed/manoeuvrability but able to shred starfighters with the PDs.
The Judicator is more of a middle-ground between the Admonisher and Charger.
Finally the Charger is a light hunter able to deal with other vessels of similar size or slightly larger.
I worry the speed increase and weapons upgrade may mess this up however I am not totally certain.

Most of the sub-mod just simply improves a lot of units to make them actually worth picking (Escort and Command Arquitens buff my beloved) whereas the current iteration of the base-mod I feel there are too many units that become obsolete which I believe to be poor game balance to a certain extent.

As I said, I have more to play but overall, I think this mod has good balance choices generally even if there are a handful I'm unsure of like the Judicator buff I worry might make the Admonisher obsolete.

The Advanced Ven gives a meaningful upgrade in interceptor quality with one of the best in the mod, the V-Wing and access to Y-Wings. A meaningful upgrade but it isn't so powerful as to warrant writing off other ships entirely.

Finally the Acclamator I Advanced is actually worth buying. Where the Venators give a strict interceptor/bomber compliment with little to no ability to perform multi-role the Acc. I Adv. fills this niche perfectly. The 2/4 Z-95C and 1/2 Y-Wings make this ship very cost effective in both credits and tactical population. Paired with their speed and overall effectiveness as escorts I think the compliment pairs perfectly with this.

Whereas in this sub-mod there is a deliberate and meaningful separation of roles between each. The base Ven allows for cheap spam with okay interceptors, (V-19s are buffed in this sub-mod sure, but I still see them as slightly better TIEs in a way) but importantly cheap spam which is valuable in the early game and simply for cheap expendable reinforcements. Hell I've even thought of the idea for emphasising that role by allowing the base Ven to deploy 3x (or even 4x) V-19 wings at once but honestly that's probably too much. I'm thinking of the 2003 Clone Wars V-19 spam. lol.

The BTNs are actually fine and I think they pair quite well with Y-Wings. The ion damage is nice and because they're faster they get to the target first, and are good for setting-up other strike aircraft or bombers to do the main brunt of damage.

Sorry I've been pretty busy recently and haven't been able to play all too much EaW.

However from what I have played I think I might prefer it over the main mod in terms of overall balance mostly. I will use the example of below with the Venators and Acclamators.

Okay sure...I do miss being able to mindlessly spam Adv. Ven. but to be honest I think it's pretty overpowered in the base mod due to the sheer amount of versatility that single ship actually grants. Z-95C and Y-Wings are just so incredibly powerful in my opinion paired with a decently armed capital ship itself.

I did spread out the distribution of tri droids in the CIS navy so not as many from 2 ships so should still be present but not as concentrated. This should help the republic out while giving CIS players more reason to spread out fleet building
