Choose Installation Method
Method 1: Installer
Download the .exe installer from the GitHub releases.
Run it — it auto-installs everything needed.

Method 2: Manual Setup
Download the mod files.
Place them in your Garry’s Mod addons folder.
If required, run the .bat file included to register DLLs.

idk what his potato is though, but one things for sure, NO form of GWater will work, you need a decent dedicated GPU and CPU to run GWater, it's a bit lower with GWater 2 but easily reaches the same requirements with a lot of water aswell

As for the optimisation...each particle is processed in the game. How do you run Garry's Mod on your potato anyways?
It kept crashing when I had this mod on :(
