The Jester

The Jester brings all the other awards with him as his arsenal. He is a lightweight character with some spammable
moves, but his entire moveset comes with a price. Which requires him to be a bit of a coward.


The Jester's main gimmick is using steam points. Every single one of his attack costs steam points, which are determined by how much the referenced award (or in jab's case, awards) cost to grant. You gain steampoints by doing pretty much any thing else, along with successfully parrying, and landing kills. you can only lose steampoints by performing attacks and getting killed yourself (which will cost 4,800 if you have at least that much). However, if you have at least 8,000 steampoints, every attack will become steam powered. Steam powered attacks usually earn a few buffs, some are noticeable, most are not. Use them wisely though, as the steam power has a cooldown of its own.


The Jester takes a deep breath, getting ready to breath fire. This attack has a total of 4 different sizes to start at when charging, and pushes opponents away. The Jester will continue to breath fire as long as special is held down, or if the fire is too small. Stopping the fire breath will also launch opponents if the fire is big enough. Be careful though, as breathing fire is actually too much for The Jester to handle, causing him to try and regain himself afterward. The more fire he breathes, and the longer he does it, the more vulnerable he'll become afterward.

The Jester summons the Golden Unicorn. It will just sit there for a while at first. But eventually it'll bend forward, getting ready to charge. Once it does, it flies forward at a high speed with very powerful damage and knockback. It's super powerful, because it's super slow and easy to avoid. So try to combo into it. Only one unicorn can be spawned at a time, and you only lose this attack's required steampoints once the unicorn is spawned.

The Jester transforms into the Super Star award, and then propels upward at an angle. Don't worry about what direction your facing, as the Jester will fly in the direction you hold. This attack is basically a combination of Fox's and Rosalina's upsecial.

The Jester puts on a graduate's hat, and a pair of nerdy glasses. This fills the meter shown at the Jester's hud. Once it's full, the Jester will have some "clever combo ideas", giving him an increase in his movement and attack speed for a time. The specials do not get affected by this state, and will automatically be lost when killed. The steampoints for this attack are only spent once the clever boost is applied. (Also, can you believe that I was once planning on making this be a counter?)


This character comes with custom ai that understands the gimmick and attacks at higher levels.
