READ THIS BEFORE STARTING
Player DLC: Class 50 (Salisbury diversion via Southampton for Waterloo)

The Basingstoke to Andover line is closed, due to Sunday maintenance work, so all traffic is being diverted from Salisbury via Romsey & Southampton for Waterloo.

On this winter morning run in the late 1980’s you: go from Wilton to Salisbury, then go via Romsey & Southampton non-stop via Eastleigh for Waterloo.

IMPORTANT: You must slow down early for the 20/25/30mph main line speed restrictions - or you will trigger the Emergency Brake.

Route: Southampton - Salisbury Extension
Duration: 39 minutes Difficulty: Medium
Scenario: Standard

BR Class 50
BR Blue Diesel Electric Pack

Hello again Rammy.
Extra info: I saw 35028 at Eastleigh in 1972 (I think) just after it had it's first major overhaul for preservation, after being purchased. I have a photo of it looking like new. Magnificent.
Supposedly it did 104mph at Axminster. I went there in 1967 to watch Bulleid Pacifics blasting through on their final duties. What a site. I'm pretty sure on one of my many trips, I timed one at near 95mph going through Micheldever from Waterloo to Southampton.

Thanks for participating in this collection Rammy. I really enjoyed creating this particular collection. Probably because I travelled over the lines quite a bit in the late 60s and early 70s.

levely express run with a great class 50 (open windows = other sound)
sometimes was sitting in firdst class (passenger view) ..seeing the light show of landscape

Thank you for saying that robmerlo. Maybe for you I should have done a 'hot' Christmas one not a wintry one. Actually it is only 19c now in Perth - after our 44c 2 days ago.
