[ICR] 'Phoenix' Class Missile Cruiser

The "Phoenix" Class Guided Missile Cruiser is the main backbone of the Colonial Republic Navy. The design is relatively new but has some mileage on it. The class has seen heavy action in both skirmishes with the Centauran Alliance and more recently, the ever more dangerous "Swarm" threat. With the future of humanity appearing uncertain, it remains to be seen if the Phoenix Class can once more rise from the ashes.

The Phoenix Class is designed with a somewhat more hard sci-fi setting in mind, therefore it has no shields, or Jump Drives. In lore, it would use it's fusion drives to travel in-system, with FTL travel between star systems accomplished using natural wormholes.

The vessel fields a first of it's kind, 'Athena' Mk.1 Mainframe. Designed to simplify and supplement ship operations, the mainframe is capable of performing a variety of tasks. Hangar operations, hull monitoring, and security are all handled automatically via the Mainframe. The ship includes a tiered security system, progressively raising the readiness level in response to threats.

DEFCON 2: An enemy vessel has engaged the ship, and (If you choose to add them) damaged the shields

DEFCON 1: A hull breach has been detected

DEFCON can be raised via the main control seat, located inside the CIC. Additionally, a Lockdown option has been included to deal with any internal threats, and to seal and lock all bulkheads. A Stand Down command will be found in the same panel.

Hi there, and thanks for visiting the "Phoenix" page! This is me and Ghost's attempt to return to Space Engineers builds after our previous unfinished "NCF" series of ships.
