Belt Slot Goggles

描述
Square Goggles and Ashlander Stormgoggles are now equipped in the belt slot.
  • Allows characters to wear hats/head armor while having goggles equipped.

Races that cannot wear hats are excluded from equipping goggles.

This is a remake/update of the mod Wear Goggles with Hats.

Since Wear Goggles with Hats is no longer being maintained, I wanted to fix some issues that I ran into while using it.
  • NPCs with goggles in their equipment pool would always spawn with the goggles equipped because it was the only belt slot item in their equipment pools.

    ⠀- Fixed by adding a chance to spawn with nothing in belt slot for all relevant NPCs.
    ⠀- Now the chance for NPCs to spawn with goggles equipped should be roughly the ⠀⠀same as in vanilla.


  • Hive Soldier Drones (mainly from Tech Hunters faction) would spawn with square goggles equipped, causing clipping.

    ⠀- Added race exclusion for all Soldier Drone variants to prevent this.
    ⠀- Added same exclusion for all skeleton subraces.


  • Ashlander Stormgoggles icon was distorted due to being changed from 1x3 (vanilla) to 2x2.

    ⠀- Ashlander Stormgoggles and Square Goggles now both occupy a 1x2 inventory space.
    ⠀- Added custom resized icons to match new inventory size.


Notes

- Equipping items in the belt slot does not cause the character portrait to update, meaning you will not see the character wearing goggles in their portrait immediately after equipping. In order to force the portrait to update, unequip and re-equip any item in either the head or armor slot.


If anyone runs into bugs or issues, please leave a comment and I will do what I can to fix them.

@Neon Necromancer The only items that are edited by this mod are the Square Goggles and Ashlander Stormgoggles. I believe the bite guard is a modded armor piece added by the mod "Sacred Trash".

I'm having trouble with the bite guard. I learned the recipe, and it says I've learned it on the tooltip, but I cannot craft Bit Guard (Belt)

@rattratthew The mod "Clothing and Armor" in Crunk's Vanilla Remastered collection (assuming this is the collection you're talking about) adds the stealth debuff to both sets of goggles. If you're comfortable digging around in FCS you could move the Clothing and Armor mod from your workshop folder to your kenshi mods folder and then edit "stealth mult" back to 1 for Ashlander Stormgoggles and Square Goggles.

for some reason they have a negative effect on stealth? I'm using crunks collection so may be something on that end but he generally curates quite well
