Introduction

Related information can be found on Wikipedia. Briefly described as: a Russian diesel–electric locomotive, a switcher locomotive for industrial and mining operations (in actual operations, it is widely involved in the task of transporting passenger cars from the depot to the station).

Since Stormworks: Build & Rescue did not include a rich collection of railway wheels and other equipment, the old version TEM18 looked rough and abstract. In the new version TEM18DM, not only the appearance of the locomotive is restored, but also the power and internal space are optimized. The TEM18 was the first work I uploaded in the workshop of Stormworks, which has its unique commemorative significance.

To operate the locomotive

After getting on board, find the control panels on one side of the cab. The starting sequence is:

Main breaker
Engine Start (Press 3s)
Observe the engine RPM and the out put of the generator. The engine should be stabled at 390 RPM and the out put 384. Turn the Master key
Close the control panels' hatch
Choose a driver's seat and sit down.
Press W or S to select the running direction.
Press A to increase power and D to decrease.
Press ↑ to increase train brakes and ↓ to decrease.

Note

After the engine starts, the RPM will continue at 600 for a while, which is to charge the locomotive electric system;
When the Master key is not turned on, means this locomotive controlled by the master, including multiple control of power, brakes and lights;
The Reverser includes 3 tractional positions: forward, neutral and reverse. If locomotive unable to move, please check the reverser status on the left monitor of the driving platform (REV);
There are 8 levels of traction. Maximum controllable speed 108 km/h;
The parking brakes in the right side of control panel. If the locomotive cannot move or move slowly, please check whether is released the parking brakes of the master locomotive or slave;

Automatic Train Stop (ATS/Dead man's switch)

The ATS switch is on the right side of the control panels. After switch on, by default, when the speed exceeds 5 km/h, none acknowledge alarm from 8 seconds and emergency braking works in 12 seconds. Timing restart after acknowledge.
Acknowledge buttons can be found on the left side of the driving platform, the driver seat hotkey is 2.

Other functions

Light control. There is a light control switch on the left side of the control panels. Choose automatic control or manual to turn on the lights in all directions. The default setting is automatic control , means the low-beam spot lights and red lights will switch on/off according to the reverser.

The high-beam control is at the bottom left of the driving platform.

Wiper control. The Wiper switch can be found at the bottom left of the driving platform. The speed control button (Wiper Intermittent / High-Speed) can adjust the wiper actuation speed, with a total of 2 level.

Coupling and uncoupling. The switches for controlling the couplers can be found at both ends of the locomotive.

Heating. The heaters can be turned on when the temperature is below 16 degrees.

There are multiple hood hatches that can be opened.

TEM18型内燃机车的相关资料可以在维基百科中找到。简述为:俄罗斯电力传动内燃机车,工矿作业用外走廊调车机车(实际运用时广泛参与由客技站向车站运送客车的作业任务)。

由于《风暴工程:建造与救援》曾经并不包含丰富的铁路轮对与其他设备,所以旧版本显得粗糙、抽象。在新版本上,不仅还原了该机车的外形,还在动力和内部空间中做了优化。TEM18型内燃机车是我在《风暴工程》的创意工坊中上传的第一个作品,有其独特的纪念意义。如今重新制作该型号内燃机车,不仅是对过去的总结,也是对未来的展望与期待。

启动机车

上车后找到位于驾驶室一侧的控制面板。启动顺序为:
主断路器(Main Breaker)
启动发动机(长按三秒)(Engine Start (Press 3s))
观察发动机转速(Engine RPM)和主发电机发电量(Generator Output),发动机稳定在390转/分,发电量为384,旋转主控钥匙(Master Key)
关闭控制面板柜门(Panels Hatch)
选择一个驾驶席坐下
按W或S下选择前进方向(Reverser)
按A提高功率,按D减小功率(Throttle)
按↑提高制动,按↓减小制动(Brakes)

注意事项

发动机启动后转速会在600转持续一段时间,这是为车辆电力系统充电;
不旋转主控钥匙开启主控的情况下默认为受长机联控,包括联控动力、制动和灯光;
前进方向包括3个牵位,前进位,中立位和倒车位,如遇无法前进请检查驾驶台左侧屏幕上的牵位状态(REV);
功率牵引位共8级,最大可控速度为108千米/时;
驻车制动控制在右侧的控制面板柜中,如遇无法前进,或前进速度慢,请检查主机或辅机的驻车制动是否缓解。

自动列车停止功能(ATS/失知控制)

ATS开关在控制面板右侧(ATS On/Off),启动后,默认情况下8秒不应答开始警报,12秒无应答紧急制动。应答后重新计时。
应答按钮(ATS Acknowledge)可以在驾驶台左侧找到,驾驶席热键为2。

其他功能

灯光控制。在控制面板左侧有灯光控制开关(Lights: Auto/Manually),可以选择自动控制和手动控制开启各方向灯光。默认为自动控制,即根据前进方向开启近光前照灯。
远光灯控制(High Beam)在驾驶台左下方。

雨刷控制。在驾驶台左下方可以找到雨刷开关(Wiper)。速度控制按钮(Wiper Intermittent / High-Speed)可以调节雨刷作动速度,一共2个挡位。

连挂与解挂。在内燃机车两端可以找到控制车钩的开关(Decouple)。

暖气。暖气(Heater)可在温度低于16度时开启。

有多个发动机外罩的检修门可以开启。
