Tiered Tech Blocks (Prototech update!)

This is a copy of the original mod with updates for the Prototech DLC.

This mod adds enhanced versions of functional blocks for Space Engineers with a tiered progression system. The update for the Prototech DLC includes a new balance for all Prototech blocks, matching recent changes in the game and providing a more balanced experience.

Balance
The mod introduces 3 additional tiers for most functional blocks:
  • Tier-1: 2x stronger than the vanilla block.
  • Tier-2: 4x stronger.
  • Tier-3: 8x stronger.
  • Prototech blocks: 32x stronger.

Changes from the Original Mod
  • Rebalanced Prototech block stats to match the latest DLC.
  • Minor balance adjustments to the original mod’s block stats.
  • Balanced for gameplay with a mod that allows crafting tech components. This makes tech components easier to obtain and usable in the mid-game, while Prototech blocks are strengthened as end-game items and very challenging to acquire.
  • Adjusted crafting costs for components. Components (especially Tier-3) require a LOT of resources to craft. Crafting tier components is only available with the mod .

Soo.... updated my mods yesterday, and this went from (Maintained) to (Not Maintained) in the name? Is there something wrong with it now?

It looks like this mod have same bug as the original one. When added before world generation, there will be no component selling factions.

Hello, this mod is great, but there are no tiered weapons. The original mod has an add-on mod for weapons, but it requires the original mod to function, are there any plans to solve this or make a new dependent mod with the weapons?

It's mainly a problem on high gravity worlds, if im in space or on the moon its completely fine although i had a ship with a completely empty inventory fail to even hover at one point

This is possible if, for example, on an existing drilling ship with sufficient thrust, the cargo containers are replaced with the T1 version and then filled with ore. In that case, they will hold twice as many resources, and the ship will weigh more than originally calculated.

There was also a bug in the first version of the mod where the welder and grinder blocks had excessive weight, but this has now been fixed.

For whatever reason this mod causes certain size large grid ships to fall inside atmospheric planets even with more then adequate thrust.
