Oshkosh M-ATV

The car was created by the American company Oshkosh Truck. The armored vehicle was developed under the program of the US Department of Defense MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected — Protected by mine resistance from ambushes). In the summer of 2009, Oshkosh received an order for a thousand M-ATV armored vehicles for the U.S. Army. The contract value is estimated at $438,000,000. Good mobility of the M-ATV, which is determined by increased cross-country ability, is achieved through the Oshkosh TAK-4® independent suspension system. The M-ATV is built with a 4×4 wheel arrangement.

The cost of one car was about $470,000 in 2009.
